Wrestling legend Bill Goldberg paid a memorable visit to the SEC Nation in Athens, Ga., set on Saturday.
Goldberg, who played nose tackle at Georgia in the late 1980s and later in the NFL before becoming one of professional wrestling’s all-time greats, was on hand to help preview the Bulldogs’ SEC game with South Carolina on Saturday. During his visit, Goldberg also settled an old “beef” with the SEC Network’s Paul Finebaum.
While Goldberg was standing on the set with SEC Network hosts Marty Smith, Marcus Spears and Tim Tebow, Finebaum emerged from the SEC Nation bus wearing a scowl and the Georgia “Savage” shoulder pads. The two briefly “scuffled,” before sharing a handshake and a hug.
