AB-solutely The Definition Of A Triple Crown Champion

Some wrestler like to talk about how accomplishments of theirs are “destiny”. They like to brag to everyone in earshot that they were “meant” to be somewhere, to do something, to be the star they perceive themselves to be.
Double D never needed to do this. He just chooses to. And now, he has even more evidence to back it up.
In the 9 years that Double D has been ranked in the Oklafan Top 50, 3 of those times he has come in at #1 and 3 of those times he has come in at #2. In FACT, only once has ever been ranked below the top 10.
Since July 19th, 2018, D has been the MSWA eXpress Champion. He then added the EmpCW Title to his holdings on April 20, 2019. But holding two titles was not enough for Double D. As there was one belt he desperately wanted to get his hands on that continuously eluded him: The WFC Championship.
Double D’s reputation spoke for itself when he made a solid commitment to WFC a couple of years ago. Following the collapse of IZW, D’s talents could have taken him anywhere he wanted to go and where he wanted to go was WFC. Last year, D and J. D were the finalists in the 2018 Ryder Herring Memorial Cup Tournament, which J. D won. This denied Double D not only the prestige of winning that tournament, but the WFC Hometown Heroes Title opportunity that goes with it. D and J. D would battle over that decision for the next few months, but D also put attention on the WFC Title. And when Paul Puertorico def. Tim Rockwell for that title, D saw another opportunity come close to his grasp.
In November, D was one of four competitors to compete in a Fatal 4-Way Match to determine the #1 contender for the title at the December event. Paul Puertorico won that match and ultimately the title. At the same time, D put together wins over the next couple of months against El Fuego del Sol, Bishop Nasty & Sam Stackhouse. But this gained D nothing in terms of title opportunities, so he took matters into his own hands in February, coming out and staging a sit-in until he was granted a WFC Title match. WFC Director of Operations Striker forced D to once again wrestle a match to earn that opportunity and put D’s long-time nemesis, Luke Langley, up against him. But even that couldn’t stop D and Erica from doing whatever they had to to secure the victory. D now knew he had the opportunity he wanted and nothing could stop him from taking advantage of it.
Well, almost nothing.
In March, D and Paul faced off at the WFC event in Tahlequah, but that match quickly spilled out of the ring and out of control, forcing the referee to declare it a No-Contest. But D’s contention was that he had not lost the match, so he still deserved to have another title opportunity. And Striker reluctantly agreed, but saw just as much validity to put BCW Buzzsaw Champion Drake Gallows in the title picture as well. So a Triple Threat Match was created and Gallows may have been the only person NOT upset about. Paul had no championship advantage in the match and D had TWO opponents to deal with. And sure enough, Paul was able to retain the title by pinning Gallows.
So once again, D had not been pinned, so he claimed he did not lose the title opportunity. And he hoped that the fans saw the same thing because May was “Fandetta”, where the fans got to pick the stipulations for the matches. Unfortunately for D, they chose a mixed tag team match, which put D and Erica and against Paul and Skylar Slice. Once again D was denied the chance at the WFC Championship, but did pin Paul in the mixed tag. And who was the first person to head back to Striker’s office and demand that he receive a 1-on-1 championship match? The “Definition of Definition”, of course.
But the night before that match occurred, a strange scenario took place at Night One of the Ryder Cup. Before the final match between Wesley Crane and Gemini [2nd] a video was shown which suggested that Crane had done something to Puertorico in the backstage area. The champion was unconscious and seemingly non-responsive. The next night, DOO Striker came out and addressed the crowd, saying that Paul had been taken to a medical facility and looked to be out of action for an indeterminate amount of time. While WFC did not strip him of the WFC Title, he chose to relinquish it and the title was currently vacant. This brought out a joyous Double D & ASP Women’s Champion Erica who came to the ring and grabbed the title belt, prepared to celebrate D becoming a Triple Crown Champion! But Striker informed them that titles were not just handed out in WFC, they had to be earned. So if D wanted that belt, he had to wrestle someone to earn it. And that person would be Drake Gallows. This put D into a conniption fit as he had it firmly in his head that he was NOT going to have to wrestle and if he was going to wrestle, he was prepared for Paul Puertorico, not Drake Gallows! But Striker refused to budge, so the match was on. And D spent much of the first part of the match trying to avoid Gallows any chance he could get. Meanwhile Erica took whatever opportunities she could to physically interfere in the match, which brought Striker out again. Tired of her nonsense, he ejected her from ringside. This made it a firm 1-on-1 and Gallows wasted no time in taking over, hoping to claim a title that meant as much to him as it did to D. Both men dug deep in their arsenal of moves, with Gallows seemingly gaining the upper hand. But after several minutes of this had passed, an unknown masked person emerged through the curtain. Gallows and D both seemed confused until this person physically interfered and had their mask ripped off, revealing that it was Erica! While Striker had said that the match would be stopped and Gallows would be awarded the title if Erica didn’t leave, apparently, he didn’t say she couldn’t come back. So with the referee distracted by Erica, D took advantage and put Gallows down, gaining the pin and officially becoming the WFC Champion!
Of course, in D’s mind, he did this all by himself. And with three title belts and no desire to cover up his abs, D is rapidly running out of space to carry all the gold he is acquiring. But as large as his collection of gold is, his ego is even bigger. After all, who else in Oklahoma is a triple crown champion? No one. And even the pressures of defending three belts in three separate federations doesn’t seem to phase Double D. It’s just all part of being AB-solutely Fabulous.
