Cothern Has Left the Compound! But ICF Is Still Strong!

In recent weeks, ICF has made a point of showing a gang mentality, taking their issue with FCW Tag Team and ComPro Oklahoma X Division Champion Justin Lee out in 3-&-4-on-1 attacks. But the odds were evened a little bit this past Saturday as their manager, Boss Campbell, wrote a check with his mouth that Cast-Iron Cothern's kilted posterior couldn't cash.
It wasn't a great time for the ICF manager. He had lost his trademark sideburns in Arkansas the previous Saturday and, certainly embarassed by appearing in front of the crowd feeling naked, he promised that if Cast-Iron Cothern couldn't defeat his opponent, FCW Champion the Canadian Red Devil, then Cothern would leave ComPro for 6 months! Cothern seemed a little hesitant about this deal, but it was too late as ComPro commissioner and ring announcer Kitty agreed and rang the bell. The match was on. Cothern knew he was fighting for his future as he took it to the horned beast from Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. While Cothern outweighed his opponent and was more than willing to use underhanded tactics, the chants of "Let's go, Devil!" motivated the popular masked superstar. A mistimed distraction by Boss Campbell ended up allowing the Devil to hit the Face Plant from Hell and put Cothern away for the 3 count. And the look on Cothern's face revealed it all as he realised he had just sealed his fate until March, 2008.
Despite losing that match, Cothern would make one more appearance with his ICF brethren as the arrived en masse to attack Justin Lee after Lee had disposed of the Canadian Luchadore. While C. B. C. entered the ring and distracted Justin, Cothern, Campbell and Shane Morbid attacked from behind and another 4-on-1 beatdown occurred until Kitty forced them to stop. Seeing how these types of attacks would only continue unless she gave ICF something they wanted, Kitty promised that on September 15, she would grant an Oklahoma X Division Title shot to Shane Morbid. With Justin lying at their feet, ICF celebrated and left the ring, but Justin recovered, grabbed the microphone and announced to the crowd that ICF hadn't killed him. He seemed ready for his confrontation in 2 weeks as he left the ring.
Shane Morbid is certainly no stranger to X Division gold, nor to beating Justin Lee for titles. Earlier this year, Morbid defeated Justin for the NWA-U Universal X Division Title, but only held it 1 day before losing it back to Justin. He also won the SRPW X Division Title from current IZW Tag Team Champion (and former ICF member) Kenny Campbell in May, 2005. He held that title for about a month and a half before losing it back to Kenny.
Shane may have a lock on this title, even without the numbers advantage as Justin was once the leader of ICF and while he and Shane were not members at the same time, they come from the same background.
But even thought it looks like the X Division belt may be coming to the group, ICF has to be worried about losing another member. Earlier this year, the booted X-Cal out. They gave a tryout to El Super Colibiri which didn't work. And Shane recruited an unknown by the name of Volar to serve as his tag team partner in the match for the vacant FCW Tag Team titles. Morbid & Volar lost to the Compound Varsity and Volar hasn't been seen since. Now with Cothern gone for 6 months, one has to wonder if ICF will be looking for a replacement
