Jose Canseco Signs With World Class Revolution Pro Wrestling

World Class Revolution Pro Wrestling announced Monday morning the signing of former MLB star Jose Canseco, citing its desire to meld pop culture and wrestling into one product.
“Professional wrestling and our other avenues of business have enabled us to start becoming a multimedia company which has always been our goal,” CEO Jerry Bostic wrote. “We’re starting to effectively combine pop culture with our wrestling product and we’re seeing great results thus far and we’re just getting started. I would like to personally thank both Jose and his agent Morgan for this opportunity to do business together.”
The Oklahoma-based World Class Wrestling puts on events such as OklaMania, Rise of the Revolution, When Worlds Collide, Clash at the Cotillion, and Day of Destiny.
It’s not immediately clear what Canseco’s role with the organization will be. It doesn’t sound like he himself will be wrestling, but with Canseco, you never know.
It would be make sense for him to end up as a broadcast or other media personality – he recently served as an on-air Oakland Athletics analyst on NBC Sports Bay Area, though lost that gig in December after he tweeted a cryptic comment criticizing sexual harassment victims.
