A Tulsa County sheriff's detention officer was fired and arrested after being accused of assaulting an inmate, the Tulsa County Sheriff's Office announced Tuesday.
Officer Dakotah Chuculate was apprehended on assault and battery complaints for allegedly striking an inmate inside the Tulsa County jail on March 29, a news release stated.
Officials did not disclose the circumstances surrounding the assault.
Authorities said Chuculate, who was hired as a detention officer in 2016, was terminated Wednesday.
The incident marks at least the seventh detention officer accused of misconduct since June.
