IWR Longhorn Stampede III brings in big money for LGHS Band

Sometimes a little chaos is all you need to walk away a winner.
This was the case on multiple angles Saturday night as the Ardmore based Imperial Wrestling Revolution promotion presented the third annual Longhorn Stampede event at the Lone Grove Middle School Gymnasium.
All the proceeds from the event went to the Lone Grove band program and the total amount raised will go a long way.
According to LGHS Band Booster president April Davis, around $2,300 was the total amount raised and given to the Lone Grove band program which will go towards essentials the program needs including uniforms, instruments and other necessities.
The main event of the evening featured Lone Grove graduate and IWR CEO Jerry “The Boss” Bostic taking on Chandler “The Truth” Hopkins for the IWR Revolutionary Championship.
However, plans were altered midway through the match as the Arrow Club faction of The Chickasaw Warrior “Ky-Ote” and Kyle Hawkinterfered in the match, causing it to turn into a tag team street fight.
The only thing more surprising though according to Bostic was the reception he got when he came out before the main event.
“Honestly, I was shocked people were so happy to see me wrestle out there,” he said. “But at the end of the day the event went great I thought and we were able to do a lot of good for the Lone Grove band program, which is very close to my heart, as well as the community of Lone Grove.”
The Imperial Wrestling Revolution will now continue to tour across the United States leading up to the third annual Oklamania event, which is scheduled to take place on September 29 in Ardmore.
