Trump Looks to Add More Gold to His Fortune

Posted: Aug 23rd 2007 By: CMBurnham

When you claim to come from the bloodline of one of the richest men in America, it helps to prove your worth. And that's what Thomas Trump was looking to do upon reentering MSWA. Although he wasn't there to wrestle, Trump ended up with a potential gold-acquisition opportunity that he wasn't expecting, thanks the MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champion Bad Boy.

Trump was a surprise manager for newcomer Kevin Morgan. Morgan came to the ring alone, complaining that MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champion Outlaw was afraid of him and had been ducking him for weeks. He then revealed Trump as his new associate, claiming that their partnership gave Morgan money, knowledge and power. Trump proceded to be his usual cordial self, making friends with the crowd by reminding them that his taxed paid for their food stamps. At this point, Outlaw came out and grabbed the microphone. He made mention of the fact that 4 years ago was the last time that Thomas Trump (then known as Tommy St. Charles) had stepped in the MSWA ring and by the end of the night, he was laying in a pool of blood.

Outlaw ended up defeating Kevin Morgan in this contest, but Trump helped orchestrate a 2-on-1 postmatch atttack, hitting Outlaw with a steel chair. This brought out Bad Boy. As the teams squared off, Bad Boy said that it had been a while since he & Outlaw had defended the tag team titles (due in part to a knee injury that Bad Boy was suffering from). He granted Trump & Morgan a shot at the titles on August 8th. Trump accepted, telling Outlaw to bring a Geritol. Bad Boy then tried to goad Trump & Morgan in by saying they could do the match right there. Morgan was more than willing, but Trump held him back, saying that he didn't wrestle for free.

Might Bad Boy's desire to gain revenge for his partner have clouded his judgement here? Trump is a former NMS tag team partner with Outlaw's ex-brother-in-law Michael James. Trump, Outlaw & James were all members of Corporate America, so Trump knows Outlaw very well. And while Trump seems to have concentrated on managing in Oklahoma City this past weekend (he guided Dane Griffin & Les Mayne to a victory over Javi Hernandez & UWF06 Light Heavyweight Champion Montego Seeka at the SWCW show Sunday afternoon), he's still been active and will be prepared for this opportunity.

Bad Boy & Outlaw can also hope that Trump's issues with High Society take precedence in his mind. As the new CEO of UWF06, Trump has a lot of decisions to make and this could work to the champions' benefit.
