ICF to Justin Lee: "Never Forget Where You Came From!"

Family reunions usually happen in the summer and as the summer of 2007 winds down, a family reunion of sorts occurred Saturday at the ComPro show. But instead of tossing a football and eating potato salad, ICF decided to treat former member Justin Lee like a red-headed stepchild and gave him the beating they believed he deserved.
Justin had been having a good day Saturday. He & Romero Contreras had successfully defended the FCW Tag Team Titles against Anthony Jackson & Rico Suave. And he was preparing to face FCW Champion The Canadian Red Devil in a match where, if the Devil had been victorious, would have made him the #1 contender to the ComPro Oklahoma X Division Title. The Devil & Lee are no strangers and their match was long, with each man countering the others' moves, knowing that one mistake could cost them an opportunity.
But as the match approached the 10-minute mark, from out of nowhere ICF invaded the ring area and interfered with the match. While Boss Campbell distracted referee Tommy 3 Count, Cast-Iron Cothern, Shane Morbid & Cold Blooded Chris worked over both Justin and the Devil. Then, just to show Justin who the boss was, they threw the Devil back in the ring where he won the match by countout.
But ICF wasn't satisfied with that. As Cothern & Chris continued the beatings, Shane Morbid took the microphone and announced that he was upset because he should have been in the Gauntlet Match to determine the first ComPro Oklahoma X Division Champion. Morbid was out with a shoulder injury, but that certainly didn't stop his mouth from working and he berated Justin for ducking him and denying him what he believed was rightfully his. Shane closed his promo by saying that Justin should never forget where he came from. Cold Blooded Chris then delivered a Pile-O-Poo Splash to Justin and the Devil and Cothern gave Justin a Cast-Iron Elbow before Romero Contreras arrived in the ring, steel chair in hand. He just about caved in Cothern's head with a wild swing, but the ICF members quickly scattered from inside the ring, prepared to tuck tail and fight another day.
Does Shane have a valid point? Some would say yes. He has held X Division gold in both SRPW and NWA-U. He defeated Justin Lee for the NWA-U Universal X Division Title earlier this year, but only held that belt for 1 day. With Morbid now throwing his name into the contenders' pile, Justin's future with the X Division Title might be in even more jeapordy.
But if anyone knows what to expect from the ICF members, it's Justin. Justin was the founder of ICF as a backyard federation, one that involved all the current members of the faction. He also was one of the people to bring ICF to the professional ranks, leading current IZW Tag Team Champion Kenny Campbell and Vanessa into OPW. Justin & Kenny were a solid tag team for over a year before tensions ripped them apart. Can Justin count on his former ICF partner to assist him now? It seems unlikely, considering that IZW is running shows in Oklahoma City every Saturday, much like ComPro is running in Tulsa every Saturday. So perhaps Justin needs to look to Romero for help. Or maybe he has someone else waiting in the wings to battle his former backyard warriors.
