Jeff Jarrett reportedly enters WWE sponsored rehab

This certainly isn’t terribly surprising given several recent reports, and hopefully will end up being a good thing... Pro Wrestling Sheet has an exclusive report that Jeff Jarrett “has checked into a rehab facility”, presumably for the treatment of drug and alcohol addiction.
Jarrett was let go from his position at Impact Wrestling by owners Anthem Entertainment this week after being placed on an indefinite leave of absence in early September. Rumors circled at the time about erratic behavior, including at AAA’s TripleMania pay-per-view (PPV), that was consistent with drinking. Just this past weekend, Double J missed the second night of an independent booking in Canada for what the promoter called “his own issues”. Pro Wrestling Sheet posted a detailed account of an incident at the previous show for the same company where Jarrett was allegedly drinking in the locker room and insisted on wrestling despite passing out in the back before his scheduled match.
His decision to get treatment is said to have been made this morning (Oct. 25), and one of Ryan Satin’s sources believes it is a WWE-sponsored program. Vince McMahon’s company has a standing offer to any talent who’s worked for them in the past to get help on the company dime. Jarrett worked for most of the 1990s before leaving for WCW and eventually to start TNA with his father, promoter Jerry Jarrett.
There are no other details in the report - nor should there be, frankly. We here at Cageside Seats wish Jarrett the best, and hope he’s getting the help he needs.
Update: PWInsider and Wrestling Observer confirm Jarrett entered treatment, but do not mention if WWE is involved.
