Ousted Impact exec Jeff Jarrett: I'm not getting out of wrestling
Posted: Oct 25th 2017 By: Nate Rau - Tennessean.com
Impact Wrestling announced on Monday that it has severed ties with Jeff Jarrett and Global Force Wrestling effective immediately.
The move comes about four months after the company, which is owned by Toronto-based Anthem Sports, rebranded as Global Force Wrestling and put Jarrett in charge of its creative direction.
That means the wrestling promotion, which is based in Nashville, will apparently go back to branding itself as Impact Wrestling, which is also the name of its flagship cable television program.
"I've spent 31 years in the wrestling business," Jarrett said, declining to comment on Monday's announcement. "I'm not getting out of the wrestling business."

The business operation of Impact has been an odyssey in recent years, including a lawsuit one year ago involving rock star Billy Corgan. Impact, then called TNA, owed several contractors money and Corgan sued for control.
But, Anthem emerged from the legal drama with ownership of the company and partnered with Jarrett.
Jarrett co-founded TNA Wrestling in 2002, but left the company and launched GFW. He was building up the promotion prior to partnering with Impact in early 2017.
Anthem did not immediately respond to questions about why Jarrett was removed or what the move means for its presence in Nashville.
The company records its weekly television show in Florida, but its headquarters and post-production studio is in Nashville.
