O'Malley Vows to Take What's His

What exactly is going through the mind of MSWA Mid-South Champion Brad Michaels? Why would he want to anger a 300 pound giant like IZW Impact Division Champion John O'Malley? These questions have been running through the heads of MSWA & IZW fans for months now as the 2 competitors have used mind games and underhanded tactics to try and resolve their differences. O'Malley desperately wants Michaels' title. Michaels took O'Malley's title belt and has refused to give it back.
For months, John O'Malley has been pursuing the MSWA title and he believed that he had something of an advantage over just about everyone else in MSWA as he and Michaels were former tag team partners in the Old School Assassins. But that also means that Michaels knows O'Malley as well as O'Malley knows Michaels. So, despite being named #1 contender to the MSWA title on at least 2 seperate occassions, "The Irish Phenom" has been unable to grab that brass ring and claim his spot on top of Mid-South.
O'Malley jumped through yet another hoop placed in front of him on July 29 when he defeated Michaels and retained his Impact Division Title. According to the stipulation put down by Michaels, O'Malley now qualified for a Mid-South Title match at the IZW show on August 4. That evening, John O'Malley was interviewed by Ray Martinez backstage. In that interview, O'Malley admitted that in their past association, he had looked up to Michaels, done anything that Michaels has asked and "breathed in every word" Michaels said. But all it earned him was being stabbed in the back and since winning that Mid-South belt, Michaels had squirmed out of every title shot that O'Malley had earned. He promised to take away that belt, since it was obviously the most precious thing to Michaels, and finally prove that he was the better man.
When it finally came time for their match, Michaels dealt the first blow, knocking O'Malley's mask off his face. The match was hard hitting, but eventually things turned around for O'Malley and he seemed confident of victory after hitting the Guinness Hangover. But this move also rendered referee Thomas Patrick unconscious and allowed Michaels' fellow Impact, Inc. members, John Zorthos and Bernie Donderwitz, to enter the ring, armed with chairs. O'Malley avoided the chairshots and grabbed Zorthos' chair from him, clearing the Impact duo from the ring. At that point, months of frustration began to overwhelm O'Malley and, as he saw a prone Michaels in front of him, he couldn't resist fulfilling one of his (and the fans') wishes. He raised the chair above him, about to crack open Michaels' head. Sadly, Impact, Inc. took this moment to revive Thomas Patrick, who looked in the ring, saw O'Malley with a chair and Michaels' writhing in pain below him, drew a fautly conclusion and disquaified O'Malley, allowing Michaels to retain the Mid-South title. Michaels joined his Impact, Inc. brethren, thrilled to have pulled yet another one over "The Irish Phenom's" eyes and O'Malley took his frustration out on the chair, hitting it so hard against the ring post that it dented..
The next afternoon in Midwest City, Michaels had just finished defeating the debuting Black Mamba 5 when O'Malley ran down to the ring. O'Malley told the crowd that he was screwed over the night before and all he wanted was a "fair match". He then took an opportunity to gain a little revenge by punching Thomas Patrick in the face, knocking him unconscious. O'Malley said he didn't care where he had to go or what the stipulations were, he wanted Brad Michaels. Michaels, with a glint in his eye, said that he had an idea about this match, but that he wouldn't reveal it there. Instead, he promised to reveal all at the IZW show on August 11 and he left O'Malley standing in the ring, wondering what was next in store.
What does Brad Michaels have in mind? Has he once again come up with a plan to block O'Malley from winning the title shot? It seems apparant that Michaels fears O'Malley or else he wouldn't be going to these extremes, but how much longer can Michaels' luck hold out? Certainly Michaels has seen what O'Malley did to a steel chair and a referee and has to be thinking that, if The Irish Phenom were to get ahold of him, things would be a whole lot worse. If they're not careful, one of these men may end up crippled (or worse) before this feud is over.
