Which Tag Team Will Get Their Just Desserts?

MSWA seems to have developed into a hotbed for tag team wrestling over the past few months. Given that the MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Titles haven't changed hands in a match for almost a year, many of the competitive duos in the company believe that the time is ripe for them to pounce on the championship pairing of Bad Boy & Outlaw and wrest those 2 gold belts from their waists. And if that means they have to resort to treachery and underhanded tactics, so be it.
The focus on the tag teams began, ironically, during a singles match that pitted ComPro Champion AWOL against IZW Tag Team Champion Tyler Bateman. Bateman used hit-and-run tactics to confuse his opponent, since he could not match size or strength. But when things began to look bad for the popular Bateman, it became even worse as The Bold & the Beautiful made their way to the ring. They did not interfere and simply said they were there to watch, but past history shows that they have a determined interest in Bateman and his fellow champion Kenny Campbell. AWOL was not too trusting of these 3 people and, after beating Tyler down in the ring, walked out of the match, allowing Bateman to gain a victory by countout. Sensing weakened prey, Tommy Smash, Brian Grimm and their valet, Jessi Jersey, entered the ring to have their way with Bateman, but MSWA owner Bad Boy intervened, taking the microphone and stating that these type of tactics were unacceptable and that this "isn't IZW". Bad Boy said that if Smash & Grimm wanted a match, he's grant them a match, 2-on-2 and announced their opponents as the South Side Soul Assassins.
Obviously caught off-guard by this move, Smash & Grimm were completely unprepared to face off against over 700 pounds of Tyson Jaymes & 3rd Rail. Even the enviable strength of Smash was no good against the mass of the monster from Chicago and the Soul Assassins found themselves dominating the match and looking to take that final step to earn a Tag Team Title shot. But then, in a move that shouldn't be looked at as unexpected, The New Age Syndicate arrrived, bearing cookies. They announced that they were not there to cause problems and simply wanted to give the cookies to the Chicagoans as a peace offering. Neither man seemed interested, but the Sanders brothers refused to take "No" for an answer. With Tyson in the ring dealing with Grimm, 3rd Rail dropped down off the apron to address the Syndicate. Shawn Sanders then threw the large cooki in Rail's face and held the monster while Scott Sanders took a sleeve of Chips Ahoy (which are made in New Jersey) and began to shove them down the throat of 3rd Rail. This got the attention of the referee, which allowed Jessi Jersey to slip Tommy Smash a foreign object which he used to knock out Tyson Jaymes and gain the pinfall. The Bold & the Beautiful were thrilled. The New Age Syndicate had pulled one over their foes and the South Side Soul Assassins were once again embarrassed, even though it basically took 5 people to out do the 2 of them.
The Syndicate weren't through, though. While it would have been a safe bet to assume that they would move on after losing the Jersey Shore Street Fight 2 weeks prior, the Sanders' were still determined to prove that they could hang with the massive men from the Windy City. They challenged the South Siders to a "straight wrestling match" at the next MSWA show on August 19. Knowing the Syndicate, it will not be as clean of a match as they claim. And with the Syndicate having made their first venture into IZW, perhaps they're also interested in targeting Team Shenanigans for some gold as well. The Syndicate forced Tyson & Rail to eat their words (figuratively) this time. Might they repeat that again the next time these 2 teams meet?
