Bishop & Tool look to settle things in a Dog Collar Match!

Bishop & Tool look to settle things in a Dog Collar Match!

Impact Zone Wrestling may be home to the most bitter feud in pro wrestling today. According to sources wishing to stay anonymous, there is legit heat between IZW commissioner Gary Tool & regional menace Brandon Bishop.

According to these sources Bishop has long been unhappy with his role in Impact Zone Wrestling, but continued to be a part of IZW due to his friendship with owner John Zorthos. Bishop went on a losing streak in IZW which included loses to what he considered "lower tier talents" such as Seth Allen, Li'l Joe, Cade Sydal & Mitch Carter. Each loss was the result of a confrontation with a referee, or his opponent bending the rules to win.
Backstage tensions between Bishop and Tool began to grow, and what little respect that had existed between them dissolved quickly. Bishop who owns and operates a more adult & risqu? promotion in Texas (Asylum Championship wrestling) was accused of looking down on the product Tool was producing, as Tool was accused of disrespecting Bishop on several occasions. It is common for wrestlers to be unhappy with their bookers & commissioners,
but this common heat was about to boil over.

On December 10th in Lawton, Oklahoma after a Tag Team Match that featured Brandon Bishop & Julian Wolfenbarger vs. Mitch Carter & Cade Sydal, in which Cade pinned Bishop after the referee once again pushed Bishop into a roll up, Bishop grabbed the microphone without permission. Bishop asked the IZW fans if they enjoyed his match & then publicly denounced Gary Tool and his talents as a booker backstage. Bishop stated that he felt overlooked and that Gary Tool had no idea how to use him. Gary Tool quietly went to the sound booth & asked that the microphone be cut off, which the sound man obliged and Bishop?s voice was silenced.

From there Bishop did the unthinkable, he mentioned something to the ring announcer, and without a word walked directly up to Gary Tool and punched him in the back of the head. A few members of the IZW roster came out and broke up the melee, which ended when both were escorted into the back. A lot of screaming & foul language were heard backstage through the thin curtain which confirmed to us at the Boys & Girls Club in Lawton that what we saw was indeed not intended to be a part of tonight?s festivities.

Bishop was seen leaving in his gear with his bags a short time later during intermission. And several members of the roster seemed visibly upset about to encounter. Later in the evening after the impromptu intermission, ring announcer Steve O read a letter of apology to the IZW fans for the incident & made it clear that Bishop would no longer be welcome at IZW events.

On the IZW forum Bishop apologized half-heartedly for the incident claiming it was unprofessional but at the same time defending his reasoning. Sources also revealed that Gary Tool also made a statement to the rest of the locker room that he had also acted unprofessional during the incident and subsequently apologized as well.

A month later it seemed as if it was all water under the bridge, and IZW presented a show on January 14th in Lawton. The night seemed to go smoothly until Gary Tool and the IZW wrestlers welcomed back Seth Allen from Iraq. After Seth and the roster returned to the locker room, Gary Tool stayed in the ring to make a few more announcements about their big show in Lawton on March 18th. Sure enough Bishop picked his spot and ran in from the crowd. Bishop attacked Gary Tool again, this time a little more viciously. Once again a portion of the roster separated them. IZW owner John Zorthos was visibly upset with Bishop and even threatened to call the police. Bishop eventually left out the front door, leaving Zorthos & an obviously angry
Gary Tool in the ring. They briefly discussed this new incident in the ring & came to a conclusion that if the fans want to see Bishop/Tool settle this in the ring, they will have to vote for this match to happen on www.izwrestling.com .

This won?t just be any match though; this will be a brutal Dog Collar Match with Last Man Standing rules applying. We have little doubt that the fans will vote for Bishop to be reinstated & for this match to occur at the March 18th event at The Great Plains Coliseum in Lawton. This should prove to be a brutal affair as two huge personalities in this region are set to clash. Bad blood will spill in Lawton, Oklahoma and Oklafan will certainly be there.

On a side note other matches on the March 18th event that have already been booked include A Steel Cage Match between IZW Champion Big Van Vader and former champion Aaron Neil. Plus the IZW Tag Titles will be defended in the cage as well. Plus IZW has promised to bring in some of wrestling?s biggest legends for the event as well.
