7-16 WWE RAW

King Booker came out and "stripped" Triple H of his association with being "King of Kings". He asked Jerry Lawler to remove the word "King" from his name as well. Lawler said he'd been a king for 30 years and didn't see why they couldn't co-exist. Booker said there can't be more than 1 king. It splits the kingdom and defies the monarchy. Booker asked if they could do this easily. Lawler replied that he can't control what the fans and Jim Ross call him, but he won't refer to himself as a King anymore. Booker thanked him and asked if, as a token of submission, Lawler would kiss his ring. Lawler refused. Booker said he wasn't asking, he was ordering. Lawler said, "No!". Booker attacked Lawler, but Lawler retaliated. Several referees came out to seperate them.

Ric Flair was interviewed about who would win the WWE RAW World Title match between John Cena and Bobby Lashley. Flair picked Cena. He said Lashley is young, strong and motivated, but Cena was equal in strength and motivation. He wanted the word "great" put next to his name. Flair finished by saying they're both motivated and Lashley could win, but Cena should come out victorious.

Jeff Hardy def. Shelton Benjamin (w/ Charlie Haas), William Regal and Santino Marella in a 4-Corners Elimination Match to determine the #1 contender to the WWE Intercontinental Title.

Jerry Lawler explained the rules of the Texas Bullrope Match to the fans.

Randy Orton def. Cody Rhodes (w/ Dusty Rhodes). Orton threatened to attack Dusty after the match, but Dusty was ready and Orton backed off.

Melina (w/ Beth Phoenix) def. Mickie James (w/ WWE World Women's Champion Candace Michelle)

William Regal came up to Jim Duggan in the locker room. Regal said he'd been told by Johnathon Coachman to get Duggan's 2x4 so he could have it bronzed for his office. Duggan said no one touches his wood and if Regal wanted it, he should go get his own. Regal asked if he had to get on his knees and beg and then demanded that Duggan put his "massive piece of wood" in his hand. Ron Simmons walked up, having heard this out of context and, after Duggan walked off and Regal was left looking slightly embarressed, uttered, "Damn!".

Mick Foley was interviewed about the Bobby Lashley/John Cena match at the Great American Bash PPV. He said you'd think he'd have learned after the Vengeance PPV not to bet against Cena. Cena's put together an incredible streak of entertaining matches and title defences, but he thinks Lashley has the physical tools, amateur background and especially the motivation to win. He picked "Lashley at the Bash-ley".

Jim Duggan came to the Sandman's rescue after he was double-teamed by William Regal & Carlito.

7-19 TNA iMPACT

Christian Cage, James Storm, A. J. Styles, Tomko & Jackie Moore were backstage being interviewed. Cage said that tonight's match may by called a "revenge" match, but it's going to end up just the same as the last time the same wrestlers met. He may have lost to Chris Harris at the Victory Road PPV, but that was due to interference from Dustin Rhodes. This time, Cage has someone watching his back in the form of James Storm. Storm mumbles something in the style of Boomhauer from "King of the Hill" and everyone laughs except Cage, who didn't understand what Storm said. Cage looked at A. J. and said he didn't know A. J. spoke Spanish. A. J. said Storm wasn't speaking Spanish. Cage asked what he said. A. J. said that after tonight, they're gonna go celebrate by drinking some beer. Everyone cheered this and left, except for Tomko, who called the whole thing "pathetic".

Abyss came to the ring in pursuit of Christian Cage after Cage's match. As Cage tried to escape up the ramp, he was intercepted by Sting who forced him back into the ring to face Abyss. After a brief confrontation, Cage escaped to the back.

Jim Cornette said TNA World Champion Kurt Angle must be as "crazy as a rainbow trout in a carwash" if he thought he was going out to the ring in his speedo. Angle said his clothes and title belts were stolen. Cornette insisted that he cover up, threw him a bathrobe and said he expected the $10 000 fine (which was levied because of Angle's refusal to answer Cornette's summons earlier) on his desk by Monday.

Christian Cage was in the parking lot looking for escape from Abyss. He bumped into A. J. Styles and asked if he had a car. A. J. said he had a truck. Cage said that would do and told A. J. to drop his bags and get it. A. J. complained that his gear was in his bag, but Cage said he didn't care. As they headed towards A. J.'s truck, they ran into Robert Roode & Ms. Brooks. Roode asked to let him take care of Abyss, but A. J. said he could do it. After a brief arguement between them, Cage told Roode to find Tomko and deal with Abyss. A. J. seemed thrilled, taunting Roode by saying "Look who's riding with Christian!" When they got into A. J.'s truck, Abyss appeared from the back seat and Cage scurried out of the window to escape with Abyss in hot pursuit.
