AJ Styles Winning a Title Soon?, Vince McMahon?s Reaction to AJ Main Eventing, The Club ? MITB
Posted: Jun 3rd 2016 By: Eric Arrington
Coming out of WWE Extreme Rules and the main event with Roman Reigns, AJ Styles received praise from Vince McMahon, who was very happy with AJ?s performance. Vince reportedly realized AJ is a guy he can rely on in big matches. Vince also sees how AJ proved himself around the world and respects that, and likes how AJ carries himself for his size.
Vince was high on AJ?s work and popularity with the fans before Extreme Rules, which has led to talk of putting a championship around his waist some time before the end of this year. No word yet on how that might fit into some of the Styles-related plans going around or the WWE Draft.
On a related note, the AJ heel turn talk goes back weeks before the angle with John Cena and The Club on RAW due to the lack of heels on the main roster. WWE originally wanted Seth Rollins to return as a babyface but they?ve decided to go with him as a heel, no matter how his feud with Reigns goes. There have been several ideas pitched that would see AJ, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson get involved in Reigns vs. Rollins at Money In the Bank but we haven?t heard anything concrete. We hope to have more on those plans in the next few days.
