Gangsta Nation Plays Trump Card In Bid For Control of UWF06

Gangsta Nation Plays Trump Card In Bid For Control of UWF06

Posted: Jul 18th 2007 By: CMBurnham

For 4 1/2 months, the tensions have mounted between High Society and Gangsta Nation members. Those tensions reached a boil-over point at the end of June as UWF06 owner Jerry Bostic and Dane Griffin challenged Gangsta Nation to a match with high stakes for both sides. If the Nation won, they would gain control of the federation. But if High Society was triumphant, D Money, Thug Nasty & Montego Seeka would all suffer the same fate as Bundy: they'd be fired!

Both groups showed up with their game faces on and High Society was the first to show theirs as The Dynasty (Bostic & Griffin) were joined by fellow Society members Thomas Trump and UWF06 Champion Al Farat during Frankie Dee's "Dirty Dish" segment. Although Dee didn't stick around to conduct the interview, Bostic, Trump & Farat made their feelings about the fans and Gangsta Nation known and revealed that the decision had been made to turn this match into an elimination match. Perhaps this was a sign of insecurity on the Society's part. Were they afraid of losing a simple one-fall match? Perhaps it was a sadistic desire on their part of hope that the match became a 3-on-1 situation where they could dole out punishment and injury to the popular urban superstars. In any event, they left the ring confident that they would be victorious.

Gangsta Nation came out later and, on the surface of things, it seemed like they were all jokes and fun. D Money referred to "Thomas Dump" and told "Alladin" to "rub his lamp and call his genie". But Money also reminded everyone that this whole situation dated back to March 31st when he lost the UWF06 Title to Farat. He said he wanted that title back and the first thing he was going to do when his team won was make a match for July 28 against al-Farat for that title.

By the time the main event came ready, the heat in the building was intense. But no one in the audience wanted to leave because they knew what was at stake. The combatants took their corners and both sides waged heavy war for over 10 minutes, looking to gain that first fall. Thug Nasty ended up being the first person eliminated, as he and al-Farat fought outside. Nasty took a steel chair and, although referee Thomas Patrick tried to stop him, swung for the fences against Farat's head. This resulted in Nasty being disqualified, but High Society couldn't enjoy an advantage because al-Farat was unable to continue the match and had to be helped to the back by security. So now, it was 2-on-2, with Money & Seeka facing the Dynasty. Another near-10 minute period of time passed before Bostic was able to catch Seeka in a compromising position and pin him. But an aggressive Dane Griffin couldn't resist putting extra hurt on Seeka and, after being reminded by the referee and ring announcer Joshua Smith that Seeka had been eliminated, Griifin found himself disqualified. This upset Griffin so much that he delivered an F-5 to Thomas Patrick, rendering him unconscious and leaving the match without a referee. That is, until Thomas Trump, who had been at ringside the entire time for High Society, took off his shirt, revealing a referee's shirt underneath. They crowd groaned as they realised that the deck had once again been stacked against them. Trump entered the ring and everyone expected a 2-on-1 match and the end of 3 bright careers, but suddenly, Trump delivered his "Trump Card" maneouvre to Bostic, dragged D Money on top and counted 3! They crowd exploded into excitement and Bostic, when he recovered, threw a complete fit, so much so that he had to be restrained by security to keep from possibly injuring himself or the fans.

Trump took the microphone after the other members of Gangsta Nation joined him in the ring. He said he'd made a deal with the Nation privately because he was sick of everything in High Society always being about Jerry Bostic. Now, it was time for things to be about Thomas Trump. His first official act was to relieve Bostic of his position and authourity in the company. Secondly, he announced that on July 30, Al Farat would defend his UWF06 Title. Farat demanded to know who that opponent would be, but Trump refused to reveal that secret.

And thus, a new era was born in UWF06, once which will hopefully lead to more fan satisfaction and excitement in the months to come.
