Recap of last night's "Greta"
- Greta aired Dr. Sperry press conference revealing the toxicology reports.
- Greta welcomed District Attorney Scott Ballard to the program. He said the toxicology reports are more pieces of the puzzle. He said the reports don't change his opinion that it was double murder/suicide.
- Ballard said they have in idea what Benoit did late Friday and early Saturday morning (before killing Daniel), but said it's under investigation.
- Ballard said we are all responsible for our own actions.
- Ballard said he doesn't know who wrote the prescriptions for Nancy Benoit, as the federal government is investigating that aspect of the case.
- Ballard said his investigation has failed to show Daniel had fragile X syndrome.
- Ballard said they have investigated the relationship between Nancy and Chris, but didn't want to comment to comprise the investigation.
- Ballard said there is no evidence of a triple homicide, and stands by his opinion of a double murder/suicide.
- Dr. Michael Baden said Daniel had a high dosage of Xanax, and would have been likely unconscious.
- Baden said the most common why to test for steroids is through the urine, and said he had ten times the level of testosterone that he should have had in his system.
- In Baden's opinion, steroids are a risk factor for aggression, and pointed out that Benoit had other risk factors in his life.
- Greta said for Benoit to have passed his April test, Benoit was either clean, had his sample compromised, or the testing wasn't done properly.
- Greta brought a reporter from the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on to comment on the Benoit funeral. He was surprised that Vince McMahon didn't attend the service. He also said Benoit's family didn't attend the service.
- Greta brought Jerry McDevitt and Dr. David Black to the program. They essentially said the same things they did on Dan Abram's program.
- Dr. Black said this case has nothing to do with "roid rage." He said "roid rage" is common with individuals using a combination of anabolic steroids.
- He said his testing is certificated and has conducted drug testing for 20 years, and follows all standard collection protocols.
- Greta brought Ted DiBiase onto the program. He said he watched part of the press conference, and said while he was in the WWE, he knew of three individuals that failed the wellness policy, and were suspended for 30 days. He said they are tested independently.
- DiBiase said this is a case of character and personal choice. He said he feels the Benoit case is a mental issue. DiBiase believes Chris was remorseful after killing Nancy, pointing out the bibles found and the fact that he sedated his son before his death. DiBiase said he could see this as an act of a "mercy killing."
