NEWS
Former TNA star Konnan spoke out this past week in an interview with "Between The Ropes" and stated ?The bottom line down there is that unless you are kissing Jeff Jarrett and Dutch Mantel?s asses you are not going to get a push,? Konnan said. ?Dixie Carter has her head in the sand.? He also said Carter doesn?t show up to half of the shows. Konnan later said a lot of the wrestlers speaking out are toeing the company (WWE) line. He said it was "coincidence" that Bret Hart?s nephew got a job this week, and Ted DiBiase wants to get his son into the company as well.

According to a TNA mobile alert, TNA officials have met with Andrew McManus about bringing TNA shows to Australia. McManus had previously promoted World Wrestling Alliance shows and pay-per-views, featuring such stars as Jeff Jarrett, The Steiner Brothers (Rick Steiner & Scott Steiner), KroniK (Brian Adams & Bryan Clarke), Buff Bagwell, and Sabu, among others.

Jeff Jarrett talked to Ron Killings to see if he was coming back to the company. Killing said no, and cited the way he was used as the reason. "The Truth" also asked for a raise, but was told "they" weren't giving out any raises.

Ric Flair is currently out of action due to an inner ear problem that dates back to the injury he suffered against The Ultimate Warrior back in 1992.

Jim Ross reported in his latest blog that the grand opening of his bar-b-que restaurant in Norman was a rousing success. Guests were lined up starting at 7am for the 11am opening. Hours are 11am to 10pm, seven days a week and is located at 353 Interstate Drive in Norman.

Somebody wasn't paying attention last week in WWE's web design department. There was a poll asking what people would most want to order at Jim Ross' new restaurant and the choice in first place as of late Wednesday night was crossface chicken wings.

Nancy and Daniel Benoit's funeral was held on Saturday, July 14th in Florida. There were lots of media present, mostly on the local side, but the media wasn't allowed inside. Among those in attendance were Dave Penzer, Marc Mero, Fit Finlay, Hack Myers, Penny Durham, Vickie Guerrero, and Jim Ross who also spoke at the funeral. He also spoke to the media after the funeral saying, "This is not a steroid issue. That horse has got to be put in the barn and unsaddled. It's not a steroid issue. It's a domestic issue. But more than anything, it's a tragedy because a mother and little boy are dead." He said the coroner's report would bear that out. According to his own web site, he said the response came because he was asked if steroids caused the murder, and not that he volunteered the information.

Beth Phoenix has been added to the Divas page on WWE.com.

WrestlingFigs.com is reporting that The Berzerker has signed on with Jakks for a Classic Superstars action figure.

"Triumph and Tragedy of World Class Championship Wrestling" two DVD set has been pushed up by WWE to a release date of August 7th, up from its original September 18th release date.

During the "WWE RAW" broadcast last Monday night, the questions asked to John Cena by Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler could not be heard by the crowd, but Cena's answers could.

Bill Goldberg's TV show "Bullrun" is now airing Sundays on Ch. 5 in Sweden

Joel Watts is selling on ebay a 200 page booklet he kept with the actual scripts of every Mid South and UWF wrestling show from December 19, 1981 through June 8, 1986. Each page is a handwritten script written by either Bill Watts in most cases, or a few by Jim Ross.
