An Old-Fashioned Texas Brawl

An Old-Fashioned Texas Brawl

Posted: Jan 21st 2016 By: Tribune Staff

Last Friday's match between Jerome Daniels and APOC, a pair of hard-nosed Texans, produced some of the most violent action The Tribune has witnessed. The two battle-hardened pros tore into one another from the moment the opening bell rang and didn't let up until both were battered and exhausted.

Determined to retain his Texoma Texas Championship belt, APOC the Apocalyptic Menace withstood everything Mr. Daniels could throw at him at the monthly NWA Texoma show in Sherman, Texas. And that's saying a lot because Jerome Daniels has earned a black belt in Jiu Jitsu, a high belt in Kempo Karate, and a legitimate place in the Mixed Martial Arts hierarchy.

Mr. Daniels holds the upper hand over his foe in today's photo, which vividly demonstrates the violent nature of their epic battle. APOC survived this blow and others, then employed his vast technical wizardry and fierce determination to stage a desperate rally. It's true that both men displayed the traits of a champion, but at the end, the referee raised APOC's right hand in victory. The belt belonged to APOC to defend once again.
