JR's Blog: STONE COLD! STONE COLD! STONE COLD! Tonight on the 100th Ross Report, #RAWNOLA Feedback, Shop for JR's @InglesAdvantage Markets

Posted: Jan 13th 2016 By: Jim Ross

Big night for us when our 100th podcast drops at 9 ET featuring @steveaustinBSR. Download this dynamic show for FREE at podcastone.com and iTunes or listen to it right here on the site's homepage. Steve talk about his plans for Wrestlemania Texas and much more. I included a list of questions that I presented Steve with in Monday's blog here on our site. Check it out. This show is super sized and features many of the questions that some of you presented me via Twitter at @JRsBBQ.

RAW NOLA thoughts after watching the show this morning via DVR:

Seemed as if WWE produced this RAW ignoring the fact that the CFB Playoffs were head to head with WWE. It was business as usual with the predictable, long, opening segment promo.

Ambrose vs Sheamus could have been more impactful rather than use the flat, double countout. No one advanced and no one moved the needle. Who gained something via this finish in the first match of the night? Non title and still no finish? Hmm

Sheamus again displayed his legit toughness by working through a nasty gash on his forehead.

Titus O'Neill seems to be evolving but then he gets beat up after getting his win vs Stardust which is a great example of non vertical, 50-50 booking that helps who?

"Rooty Tooty Booty." Really? What did I miss here or am I too far out ot the target demo to get it?

Yet another non title bout but a better match because there was a winner and a loser. I appreciate that WWE is trying to get New Day and the Usos 'over.'

Enjoyed the verbal interaction between @HeymanHustle and @StephanieMcMahon a great deal. Other than Heyman when he's positioned as such, who is a better antagonist than Steph?

Spot on vignette highlighting Sting going into the WWE HOF at WMTexas. Excellent work by WWE TV personnel.

Who won between the Wyatts and the Social Outcasts? Anyone know?? Isn't winning and losing important?

Kalisto getting some mic time is smart of WWE. Fans are not going to easily perceive a talent as a star if they get little or no mic time. Hopeful that Kalisto keeps the US Title longer than it takes for his coffee to get cold. He's a underrated talent and WWE needs a Hispanic 'face.

I like the personal issue aspect of the Charlotte-Becky Lynch storyline. It has legs and has elements of reality laced throughout. I still think that Ric Flair being his daughter's manager is going to play out sooner than later. Ric is such a huge star that he is going to overshadow most talents and that includes his athletic daughter. Becky Lynch delivered a strong promo.

Wasn't overly wild about the stipulation involving Roman Reigns on RAW but I can see the reasoning behind it. The execution of the physicality prior to Brock arriving on the scene was fair at best. I liked the facials of Reigns in the closing moments of the segment as he was very expressive in that area plus I enjoyed that Lesnar was made to look like the stud that he is in how the match/physicality went off the air.

Lesnar needed to make an impact on this RAW as I pointed out Monday in that blog here on the site. Lesnar is the biggest, healthy star left in WWE and will likely never be the red hot, traditional heel that he once was years ago. Lesnar is a 'face who the fans both are in awe of and respect wholeheartedly. BTW....what happens if Lesnar faces Reigns for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania Texas and Reigns turns, aligns with the Authority and cheats to beat Lesnar in AT&T Stadium? Just saying...

I'm working on a piece of business for FoxSports.com on my Top Ten Favorite Royal Rumble moments that will drop next week.

Inviting you to go back and listen to my Ross Report with the first inductee of the 2016 WWE Hall of Fame class, Sting, that we aired several months ago on podcastone.com. It's a great, two part podcast that garnered well over 2M downloads.

Tickets for my three shows in Dallas at the House of Blues during Wrestlemania weekend are selling well but are still available via www.ticketmaster.com. I will do three shows featuring a different guest at each show where we will engage the audience in no holds barred Q&A's. The @HOBDallas is only an 8 minute walk from their venue to the American Airlines Center, ACC, where WWE will present the WWE HOF Ceremony on Saturday night and the much anticipated Monday Night Raw. We will do a show prior to the WWE HOF Ceremony from 4-6 pm and then another show with a different guest at 11 pm Saturday night April 2 after the HOF. Tickets are really rolling for our final show of the weekend on Monday April 4 which is going to start about 1 hour after RAW goes off the air. Get your tickets early to insure that you will be able to jon us for a great time loaded with straight albeit entertaining talk in a classy atmosphere where good food and beverages are awaiting you.

Are you hitting POP-TV tonight for their second, TNA Impact Wrestling broadcast?

Remember to check out our 100th podcast that drops tonight at 9 ET on podcastone.com, iTunes, and here on the home page of our site. Steve Austin kicks ass on this show that I know that you will enjoy as he addresses a litany of questions that some of you presented me via Twitter.
