The Anoai' family dynasty... 'We create more talent in the wrestling ring'
Posted: Jan 10th 2016 By: AL.com
In an industry with epic family dynasties like the Harts and
Von Erichs, Sika Anoa'i believes his has made the biggest
impact in professional wrestling.
"I think we create more talent in the wrestling ring and
bring in more superstars into the world of wrestling today,"
Sika said. "We still have more coming up."
Aside from Sika's two sons -- Matt (Rosey) and Joe (Roman
Reigns) -- the so-called "Samoan Dynasty" boasts a who's-who
of professional wrestling. Other well-known family members
include Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, Rocky Johnson, Peter
Maivia, The Tonga Kid, Rikishi, Yokozuna, Umaga, and Tama.
Jimmy and Jey Uso, sons of Rikishi, will also compete during
Sunday's show at the Mobile Civic Center. The show starts at
7 p.m.
Among the younger family members who hope to follow in the
family's footsteps are Lance Anoa'i ? who was trained at
Afa's longtime wrestling school in Orlando ? and Jacob
"Samoan Werewolf" Fatu.
"They are just generations after generations," said Terry
Latham, the former wrestler and Mobile resident. "They did
leave a big impact on the business."
Added Matt, "The next two heavyweight champions are coming
up soon. We breed them. This is probably what the good Lord
put us here for."
