Breaking News: Striking Gold Battle Royal Participants Have Been Decided

Posted: Jan 6th 2016 By: Eamon Paton

ECSTASY OF GOLD III is less than 2 weeks away. And when we return to The Marchesa Hall & Theatre on January 17th, not only will four championships be at stake, but an opportunity at championship gold hangs in the balance as well. On this night, 10 competitors will vie in what Inspire Pro management has referred to as ?Striking Gold?, an Over-The-Top Rope Battle Royal. The wrestler who emerges from the rubble as the last person standing not only wins the contest, but earns themselves a shot at any championship of their choosing. Calling this a high-stakes encounter would be an understatement, as the winner of this match immediately places themselves up the ranks as a title contender.

With so many factors in play, let?s take a look at the ten men and women looking to strike gold in this match.

Thomas Shire

With a mix of power, agility & technical prowess, Thomas Shire stands out as a favorite in this type of a match. 2015 saw Shire align himself with Nigel Rabid?s Rabid Empire, alongside Jojo Bravo, Cherry Ramons & The Park Avenue Boys, with Shire being the first competitor hand chosen by Nigel to take underneath his wing. Being the first ever Pure Prestige Champion, there is no doubt that Shire wants to obtain gold once again, not just for himself but the entire Rabid Empire as well. Will January 17th be Shire?s night?

Delilah Doom

Riding waves of momentum as of recent months, it seems as though The New Movement?s Delilah Doom has come into her own. Her intense battles with Angelus Layne brought out a new confidence in Doom, as she dispelled all assumptions of naivety that came with her colorful personality. Now with Layne put behind her, Delilah has set her sights on climbing up the ladder in Inspire Pro, and a win in a match such as this could skyrocket her up a few rungs right to a championship opportunity.

The Pump Patrol (Curt Matthews & Jared Wayne)

While Jared Wayne and Curt Matthews? resolve in the gym has been quite impressive, this duo has yet to rack up the wins needed to be considered top contenders in Inspire Pro?s tag team ranks. But, all that can change on just one night with one win from either man. Will being the only unit in this contest prove to their advantage? And, could we be seeing Matthews or Wayne vying for championship gold as we head into the New Year?

Alex Reigns

Ever since returning to Inspire Pro in February of last year, ?Untouchable? Alex Reigns has been running roughshod, alongside compatriots Moonshine Mantell & former Inspire Pro Champion ?One Man? Mike Dell. As his nickname would lead you to believe, Reigns truly believes no one in the Inspire Pro ranks can hold a candle to him. And on January 17th, Alex has the chance to showcase just that. Getting through nine other competitors won?t be easy, but don?t tell Alex Reigns any different.

Paige Turner

One of the very first competitors in Inspire Pro?s XX Division, Paige Turner makes her return to competition at ECSTASY OF GOLD III after a lengthy absence. In her time away, Turner has clocked a great deal of miles in an attempt to improve upon her game. She looks to make a big impression on her first night back in Inspire Pro, and what better way to do so then by earing a title opportunity in a contest such as this.

Johnny Swole

The next entrant in the Striking Gold Battle Royal comes in the form of Johnny Swole, a competitor who is not entirely foreign with the Inspire Pro ring. Swole would make a lone appearance for Inspire Pro all the way back at the very first Clash At The Bash, as one of the numerous entrants in the Chris Trew.biz Star Search Battle Royal, going on to make it to the final two before being eliminated by the winner, Keith Lee. Now with more matches and experience under his belt, Johnny Swole looks to show his progression and turn heads in a very quick way. Will ECSTASY OF GOLD III be Johnny Swole?s night to do just that?

Jerome Daniels

Always with their eye on new talents to showcase to the fans of Austin, Inspire Pro has populated this Battle Royal with a few debuting competitors as well, the first being ?Flawless? Jerome Daniels. Wrestling predominately in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, Daniels started wrestling in 2007 and in the last eight years has put forth top-level performances inside the squared circle. Will Jerome?s success extend to the city of Austin and can he earn himself a title opportunity on his first night in Inspire Pro?

Sean Studd

Another new face in the Inspire Pro ranks will be participating in this coveted Battle Royal in the form of Sean Studd. Now, if this competitor?s last name sounds familiar, then you have thought right. This second generation wrestler is the son of WWE Hall of Famer, the legendary Big John Studd. With a father considered to be one of the greatest big men in professional wrestling history, Sean Studd looks to continue his father?s legacy and has already turned many heads in his rookie year. Will Studd make an immediate impact in Inspire Pro Wrestling on January 17th?

Bandana Joe

Along with Daniels and Studd, the Striking Gold Battle Royal will see another debut in the form of Bandana Joe. Competing for many years in the South Texas wrestling scene, Joe looks to expand further north bringing with him what he refers to as ?South Texas Strong Style?. Could that formula lead him to victory in this contest and make him an instant player here in Inspire Pro?

One of these ten leaves ECSTASY OF GOLD III with a title opportunity in their back pocket. Who will it be? You?ll have to be there next Sunday to find out. Tickets are still available for our SEASON OPENER, so get yours today.
