WWE.com acknowledges story of AJ Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows possible WWE signings

Willingly, or otherwise, WWE.com yesterday acknowledged the story that has been all over wrestling media for the last 48 hours reporting on A. J. Styles, Shinsuke Nakamura, Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows giving notice to New Japan Pro Wrestling; and potentially coming to WWE.

In the WWE.com article, HHH "declined to comment on the rumors for WWE.com" in storyline (or otherwise).

Helping along the story were several tweets from NXT Champion Finn B?lor. Mind you, WWE talent seldom comments on much without the blessing, or at least tolerance, of WWE.

To first further along the rumors, at the New Year's Dash show on January 5 Japan time (comparable for New Japan Pro Wrestling to the Monday Night RAW after Wrestlemania), Kenny Omega hit his partner AJ Styles with the Katayoku no Tenshi after a tag title win with Styles over Shinsuke Nakamura and YOSHI-HASHI.

The members of the Bullet Club first came out and separated Omega then took the mike and challenged Shinsuke Nakamura for the NJPW Intercontinental Title. They then kicked AJ Styles out of the Bullet Club.

Then yesterday afternoon, WWE.com posted the story acknowledging the rumor.

Speculation has ranged from debuts at the Royal Rumble for some or all of the group. It's an interesting coincidence that Mauro Ranallo, announcer over the last year for New Japan Pro Wrestling on AXS TV, debuted last night at the Smackdown taping. Ranallo would certainly be equipped to do
commentary for this group should they sign and debut on the main roster.
