Rocco Valentino returns to run Texas out of town
Posted: Jan 8th 2006 By: oklastaff
Former Oklahoma Champion Rocco Valentino made a surprise return to the TPW ring, teaming with former TPW Tag Team Champions Michael Faith and Justin Lee to defeat the new faction of Texas, Inc., made up of Bernard Funk, Timmy J and Ryan Davidson.
The match began as a standard tag team match, with Faith and Lee taking on Bernard and Timmy, but Ryan was allowed to stay at ringside. Ryan used this opportunity to interfere at every chance he could until Faith and Lee could take it no longer. They then left the ring area and went to the back, leading Texas, Inc. to believe that they were walking out of the match and giving the Texans the victory by countout. But they Faith & Lee returned to the ring and shortly after that, "That?s Amore" played and Rocco Valentino made his return. The 3 Texans never truly gained the upper hand again in the match, which TPW commmissioner Kitty quickly turned into a 6-man tag, and the team of Rocco, Justin & Faith went on to gain the victory.
Rocco and Justin both suffered injuries at the hands of Bernard Funk and Timmy J. Both were spike piledriven; Justin once and Rocco twice. Justin returned to action Dec 17, only to lose the TPW Tag Team titles to Sexy Bologna, due to the interference of Funk & Timmy.
Rocco?s injury was believed to be much more severe and he was not given a return date to the ring. But he showed no sign of the injury during his match. No word has been given as to whether Rocco will be returning to the ring on a more regular basis or whether he will return to his previous duties as TPW Commissioner.
On the TPW message board, Timmy J claimed that since he was not pinned, the issue between him and Justin Lee was not over.
