WWE 'Night Of Champions' 2015 Matches: 3 Reasons Sting Should Win Championship From Seth Rollins

On Sunday night, Sept. 20, Sting will wrestle in just his second WWE match to date when he battles Seth Rollins for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions.

After falling to Triple H at WrestleMania 31 in March, "The Vigilante" disappeared from the company for over five months before returning two weeks ago on RAW to ruin "The Architect's" statue unveiling. Sting will now wrestle once more, this time for the richest prize in the game.

Last time, we looked at three reasons why Sting shouldn't win the gold, but this time we'll delve into three reasons why the former WCW and TNA icon should leave the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas as the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion.

1) Capping A Career

Sting had a legendary run in WCW, winning the World Heavyweight Championship in Ted Turner's now defunct promotion on six occasions. He followed it up by winning the TNA Heavyweight Championship four times before becoming a Hall of Famer in Dixie Carter's organization.

The WWE tried to lure Sting away for many years after WCW went under in 2001, but he stayed away until late last year. While Sting was a highly decorated athlete in WCW and TNA, he has never won gold inside the WWE.

"The Vigilante" had many accolades in WCW, but that promotion is no longer in business. His TNA accomplishments can't be written off, but the organization isn't quite as established and important as the WWE. For Sting to ride off in the sunset by cementing himself as one of the best performers of all time, it would be nice to add a WWE title to his r?sum? -- especially the WWE World Heavyweight Championship.

2) Vigilante Validation

The WWE tried to sign Sting for many years, but Vince McMahon struggled to sign him after WCW went under and then failed to lure him away from TNA and ink him to a deal. Then finally, the stars aligned and Sting and the WWE agreed to a pact, leading to his memorable debut last November at the Survivor Series.

Then, once the WWE finally had a chance to book him for a match at WrestleMania 31, he lost. After all that time and plenty of buildup, Sting came in just to lose to Triple H at the "Show of Shows." Now, he runs the risk of going 0-2 in a WWE ring, which doesn't seem worth the wait and hype.

For Sting's WWE tenure to feel legitimate, he's going to have to win a match. Whether or not he actually deserves to be the No. 1 contender at this point in his career is debatable, but for new, young fans who don't know his past, "The Vigilante" needs to make a big bang at Night of Champions.

3) Rollins Revolution

There have been rumors for months that the WWE may run a Rollins vs. Triple H feud somewhere down the line, and in order for that to happen, the former Hounds of Justice member would likely have to turn back to being a babyface.

Rollins has been a solid heel since turning on his Shield stablemates in June 2014, but if he lost the title to Triple H's sworn enemy in Sting, it could put a rift between the two, possibly leading into a match down the line. Rollins has been an Authority member since his turn, but if he is going to feud with Triple H, he'll have to go through a major character change.

If Sting defeats Rollins, even if Sheamus cashes in right after, it could set in motion a major storyline for the future.
