It's football time in Oklahoma as my Sooners host the Akron Zips Saturday night at the 99th consecutive sell out of 83,000 plus at Gaylord Family Memorial Stadium. Then Tuesday I head to Knoxville to do a pick up truck load of media for my Thursday September 10 RINGSIDE w/ Jim Ross Show at the International at 8 pm. The Jimmy Snuka alleged murder of his former lady friend three decades ago is going to continue to garner ample publicity. WWE has separated themselves from the Hall of Famer which is really the only thing that they could do in this instance. Jimmy is 72, has stomach cancer and is allegedly battling dementia which may equate to a very unique trial and legal process before all is said and done. I'd assume he will also have to have a public defender as his attorney as the State attempts to prove that Snuka his lady friend decades ago. I could see Snuka declared unfit to stand trial which would outrage many who have a vested interest in the case and subsequent trial that is if it actually goes to trial.

The NFL, becoming more mafia like daily, got trumped again by the court system as the Tom Brady suspension was struck from the record and Brady will play against my wife's Steelers in the first NFL game of the year next Thursday night. No entity should be able to act as judge, jury, and executioner in today's world especially one that has a monopoly and is printing money with limited tax liability. This comes from a legit NFL fan or should I say a major fan of the game of football. Commissioner Roger Goodell is akin to Mr. McMahon in the Attitude Era of WWE...the ultimate authority figure who likes to remind all who will listen just how powerful he is.

Speaking of Authority Figures in pro wresting in general, has that role seemingly run it's course? Many fans on Twitter @JRsBBQ and here on the Q&A's think so. I can see their points and it's hard to disagree with them. No one has ever came close to being the villain, authority figure that Mr. McMahon was vs. Stone Cold in the attitude era.

Congrats to John Laurinaitis on his engagement to the Mom of the Bella Twins. Holiday meals will be fun. I wish them the best as she is a lovely lady and a really nice person. John was my successor in WWE after I hired him when WCW went belly up.

WWE did their ballyhooed Divas, UGH, division no favors Monday night and many within the business agree with me. All talents need ample time to tell a story. No story and no one gets over.

If I was advising Hulk Hogan I'd suggest him to lay low and let things settle down. He does deserve forgiveness, as we all do, if he's sincere and I want to believe that Hulk is sincere but trying to promote himself to have "one more match" is not advisable. Just my two cents.

For any one to compare Mike Tyson to Stephen Amell as equals as it relates to being celebs is laughable. Amell did an helluva job in his recent WWE bout but he's an actor. Tyson was a man eater and the baddest man on the planet when he did his WWE stint.
