Tony Atlas Gets Back in the Ring for Charity

Tony Atlas will be donning his wrestling trunks again to raise money for a scholarship fund at Saint Dominic's Regional High School in Auburn.
Atlas is now a personal trainer at Fitness World in Lewiston, but on Sunday he'll be wrestling at Club Texas in Lewiston to raise money for the G. Michael Welch Endowment Fund.
The fund provides scholarships to students wishing to attend Saint Dom's. It's named after Michael Welch, the school's long time principal who passed away this year.
Atlas says he's happy to help out.
"What we're trying to do is get a scholarship in the honor of a great man whose main focus was of educating the kids, because we know the kids is also the future of America and if we educate our kids then America can remain a great country, which I love and respect very much," said Atlas.
Atlas says the show will be a family friendly event. It will be this Sunday at 3:00 P.M., at Club Texas in Lewiston. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for children.
