Posted: Jun 10th 2007 By: CMBurnham
Former WWE Cruiserweight Champion, the father of the current WWE Cruiserweight Champ (Chavo, Jr.), the brother-in-law of the current SmackDown Assistant General Manager (Vickie), the brother of the late WWE Hall Of Famer, Eddie Guerrero, the brother of TNA's Hector Guerrero, Chavo "Classic" Guerrero, Sr., was the special guest on this past week's live edition of Monday Night Mayhem (06/04/07), which can be heard in streaming audio every week (hosted by The Big Mosh, Blade, & The Angry Hero, and heard LIVE at 8PM ET/7PM CT every Monday night) exclusively on The Monday Night Mayhem Radio Network (www.MondayNightMayem.com, www.OnlineWorldOfWrestling.com, www.ProWrestlingPress.com, www.AllWNYRadio.com, www.Showdown,net, & www.AudioWrestling.com).

Here are some of the highlights from the interview provided by The Mayhem's co-host, The Big Mosh.
=====================================================================
*"The Classic One" was welcomed back to the program by Mosh, Blade, & The Angry Hero for his second Mayhem appearance in the past year.
*Chavo says his son, the current WWE Cruiserweight Champion has been staying very busy, and is very much looking forward to what will happen on SmackDown with her sister-in-law, Vickie Guerrero, possibly taking over the reigns as GM on Friday Night SmackDown. Between themselves, himself, & the rest of the Guerrero family, Chavo pointed out: "Wrestling is our game, wrestling is our business. We will always be involved in wrestling in one way or another. There will always be Guerreros in town."
*He loves what his brother Hector has brought to TNA, to increase the Spanish/Latino/Mexican wrestling audience. Hector is excited, especially working a program with Konnan & The LAX. As the color-commentator for those broadcasts, Chavo feels that Hector is going a great job and talks with him fairly often. "He will put the Guerrero name way up there."
*With regards to the bringing up of his late brother's name (Eddie) on wrestling telecasts, he believes that Eddie would have wanted it that way. "It's an honor for us. Sometimes it gets a little of context, but this is a business -- You have to sell tickets, and give the fans what the want." Eddie was loved by the fans throughout the world, and Chavo believes that his brother's memory will live on.
*If Chavo had a say in the current product (as a booker/road agent), he would draft/bring a lot of the younger talent up to ECW & Friday Night Smackdown, so they can get their starts.
*Chavo, Sr. is also very excited about the recently-released WWE-produced "Most Powerful Families In Wrestling." He admits it is an honor to be compared to the other great families in the history of the business featured on the DVD. He does think the Guerreros are "the greatest" though, as they are third-generation stars and are still active & going strong today. "Classic" does admit that the WWE still sends the family checks every now & then for merchandise/DVD's sold.
*In this "classic" 30+ minute interview, Chavo Sr. gave his thoughts on a possible return to the business (and what it would like to return back to the WWE), his recent trip to Japan, the legendary Guerrero family gatherings, & what it's like to give back to the business after getting so much out of it.
*Along with the "Classic" interview, the rest of the June 4th show (which also featured the first interview of former WCW World Tag Team Champion, former ECW World Television Champion, & former WWE superstar, 2 Cold Scorpio, since his release from World Wrestling Entertainment -- where he gave his uncensored thoughts about his departure from the WWE (including his feelings on Vince McMahon), the new ECW, Paul Heyman, & plenty more topics too numerous to mention & too controversial to discuss here. Plus all of the fallout from WWE's One Night Stand PPV, with The Mayhem's ECW correspondent, Jim Molineaux) can be listened to right here:
