5-21 WWE RAW
Ric Flair and Carlito wrestled to a Double Count-Out
Charlie Haas & Shelton Benjamin joined Jim Ross & Jerry Lawler on commentary during the match between Johnny Nitro & Kenny Dykstra and WWE RAW World Tag Team Champions The Hardy Boyz. After the Hardyz won, Benjamin & Haas attacked them, but were quickly driven away by Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch. Matt Hardy seemed cautiously willing to accept Cade & Murdoch's assistance, but Jeff still seemed untrusting.
5-24 TNA iMPACT
TNA World Tag Team Champions Team 3-D came out and asked the Steiner Brothers to come down. Team 3-D put over the Steiner Brothers to the crowd and there was a standing ovation for Rick & Scott. Scott then shut the crowd up, saying he had an issue with Team 3-D's "legacy". He brought up that they claimed to be former WCW World Tag Team Champions, but were never on the roster of WCW , where the Steiners spent most of their career. (Team 3-D won the WCW World Tag Team Titles after WWE bought WCW). Scott also complained about ECW being considered a "World" title. He said that the Steiner Brothers wrestled around the world including Japan and North Korea, but Team 3-D never left the bingo hall. It would be fine, according to Scott, if ECW called their titles "city titles" or "state titles" or even "Bingo Hall Titles", but not "World Tag Team Titles.". Scott then said that no one had ever heard of the teams that Team 3-D beat for all their tag team titles. At this point, Rick Steiner produced a long list of opponents that the Steiner Brothers beat and began to read it. It included such teams as the Freebirds, The 4 Horsemen, Doom, Money, Inc., Lex Luger & Sting, the Midnight Express, The Rock-N-Roll Express and others. Brother Ray then stepped up and said he didn't understand why Scott was so upset. Team 3-D was old school and showed the Steiners respect. They're not young punks like so many others that come in these days. Brother Devon said the Steiners may have beaten a whole lot of other teams, but they've never beaten Team 3-D. Scott said at Slammiversay PPV, the Steiners will deliver a severe beating to Team 3-D. Brother Ray replied that he looked forward to that. He hoped that they beat Team 3-D up, because when that happened and Team 3-D still come back and retain the TNA World Tag Team Titles, it will cement their legacy as the greatest tag team in the business.
During the match between LAX and Christian Cage & Tomko, a physical altercation between Konnan and Hector Guerrero occurred at ringside. Konann used his crutch to choke Guerrero, but Guerrero recovered and jumped in the ring, removing his jacket and preparing to fight LAX by himself. This didn't happen as Chris Harris & Rhino came to aid Guerrero. A standoff occurred as the show went to commercial.
Samoa Joe def. Sting in a King of the Mountain Qualifying match. Christopher Daniels came down and tried to give Sting a bat to use during the match, but Sting refused, throwing the bat out of the ring. Daniels then used the bat on Sting while the referee wasn't looking and Joe, who saw none of this, got the pin.
