#RossReport Podcast is growing at an amazing pace and we have all of you to thank for that. You can download our shows for FREE at podcastone.com & iTunes. A new show drops every Tuesday night at 9 ET. This week's guest is Len "The Grappler" Denton who was one of the all time great masked wrestlers who became a star in the territory days and talks about that insane ride surrounded by some of wrestling's biggest stars and personalities.
On Tuesday 27 week former WCW broadcaster Mark Madden joins me to review the WWE Royal Rumble event that will be on January 25 in Philly about two hours after my show in Philly @UndergroundArts. @MarkMaddenX is know as the Super Genius on Pittsburgh radio and will provide us an entertaining, no holds bared review of the Royal Rumble.
Hall of Fame worthy Lisa Varon, she ain't the lady to mess with, will join me on the show on Tuesday January 20 in an amazing conversation about being a woman in the man's world of wrestling and stories of the road, her influences, her relationship with Chyna and so much more including her stints in WWE and TNA.
Upcoming guests include The Iron Sheik, Adam Cole, Ken Shamrock, Terry Funk, Super Star Billy Graham, and Melina. Take a look at our guest lineup on the home page of this site. 2015 is going to be a huge year for the Ross Report podcast with your help. Spread the word.
Word on the internet that I'm "negotiating" wit Lucha Underground which isn't accurate whatsoever. I enjoy their show but I've had zero contact with any one there except Chris DeJoseph, who taped an upcoming Ross Report Podcast, (drops March 24) and Matt Striker who I worked with at Wrestle Kingdom 9. What a difference RAW is when they have their full compliment of talents available to them. I enjoyed all the chaos at the WWE Title Bout contract signing for the Royal Rumble main event featuring Lesnar vs Cena vs Rollins. This bout is unpredictable to me which adds to its marketability and appeal. I'm still thinking something big and/or quasi unexpected will happen in this match.
I've waffled on the winner of the Rumble match itself several times, perhaps I should have been a professional politician, but my latest 'gut feeling' is that Daniel Bryan takes home the WM31 main event spot.
Could it be Bryan vs. Rollins or even Lesnar at WM31?
If the rumors of Undertaker returning to WM31 to face Bray Wyatt are true, then it helps Wyatt amazingly well even if Bray loses. I have no info verifying his match but it's making the rounds online.
The Rumble much needs a little more steam IE momentum for my taste.
Been asked this a lot lately while doing media for my upcoming one man shows, do I agree with Vince McMahon's take on talents being more motivated to 'grab the brass ring?' Absolutely. To me, WWE is a team with a locker room full of players wanting and needing more quality minutes which leads to more income. One has to break a few eggs to make a great omlet so to some WWE talents, get to cooking! What do you have to lose? A job that you are apparently not satisfied with doing? How can anyone be content to be just "one of the boys."
Getting great feedback on my latest contribution to foxsports.com regarding a look at the late, Randy 'Macho Man' Savage. I will be writing a Royal Rumble piece for Fox in the next few days. Thanks to all who read these features.
Biz is still good for JR's products at wweshop.com plus americansoda.co.uk and beyondtheropes.co.uk which both ship to the UK, Ireland, and Europe.
Our friends at prowrestlingtees.com/jimross are killing it. Check out all the great designs for tees that come in virtually all sizes and can be shipped ANYWHERE.
Congrats to @steveaustinBSR for the amazing success of his reality show Steve Austin's Broken Skull Challenge that airs on @CMT. This show is an award winning TV show and is one that I don't miss. It's a no frills, not over thought show that has a logical flow and features some badass athletes. Sounds like a description of a great, wresting show.
Thanks for stopping by and please tell a friend about our site.
