WWE is promoting a new Badstreet U.S.A. documentary on the legendary Fabulous Freebirds, featuring WWE writer Michael ?PS? Hayes. The documentary celebrates the 30th anniversary of the group. ?Back on Badstreet? is available now at BadstreetUSAFilm.com. It features never-before-seen video footage, new interviews and photos.
WWE?s Gerald Brisco has been recruiting athletes who would have normally gotten into MMA with the idea that they can have a longer career in pro wrestling. Brisco is also going to be recruiting tough hockey brawlers from Canada soon. Brisco is also using the idea of making better money to attract those athletes. Brisco also tries to sell potential MMA fighters that they can follow the path of Brock Lesnar by using their pro wrestling success to get into MMA.
As seen at the beginning of RAW, Jack Swagger was announced for Team Cena at the "Survivor Series" pay-per-view. Swagger has been removed from the match due to a storyline injury he suffered from the Seth Rollins curb stomps on RAW.
Hulk Hogan did an interview and said if John Cena turns heel people would cheer him out of the building and thinks he could pull it off. He downplayed the idea of Hogan vs. Sting at WrestleMania, and when asked about WWE giving away the network for free he said, "I think Vince McMahon must have been hit in the head with one of your turnbuckles, brother. That's crazy." You can read the entire interview by clicking here.
WrestlingDVDNews.com reports that the Blu-ray exclusives for WWE?s upcoming ?True Giants? set will see four more Superstars profiled ? Earthquake, Kamala, Bam Bam Bigelow, and Abdullah the Butcher. Additional matches on the Blu-Ray will include:
-Kamala vs. Rick Martel (AWA; October 1985)
-Abdullah the Butcher vs. Skip Young (WCCW; June 27, 1986)
-Bam Bam Bigelow vs. Big Bossman (WWF; Royal Rumble 1993)
-Natural Disasters (Earthquake & Typhoon) vs. Money, Inc. (Ted DiBiase & Irwin R. Shyster) (WWF; July 20, 1992)
It?s worth noting that WWE listed NXT Women?s Champion Charlotte as Charlotte Flair in the announcement on the WrestleMania 31 ticket party. Up until now they have just used the Charlotte name. There?s been a lot of speculation that Charlotte will be called to the main roster after the next live NXT special in December. She is the daughter of Ric Flair.
The News Observer notes that Ric Flair was among the write-in names for the Martin County Soil & Water Board of Supervisors on Election Day. Martin County is in North Carolina, Flair's home state.
Ric Flair posted on Twitter "I will be at the @FansAuthentic event 11/22-23 doing photo ops in my robe & signing autos http://bit.ly/1daf0P0 http://yfrog.com/mmasygkj".
Ric Flair recently did a Q&A with MassLive.com to promote an upcoming appearance for Big Time Wrestling. Flair was asked about his daughter, NXT Women?s Champion Charlotte. He said ?She?s more than up-and-coming. She?s going to be the best female wrestler they?ve ever had. Along with being a beautiful girl?and I?m obviously prejudiced because I?m her father?she?s got athletic gift second to none. She?s already surpassed me.? Regarding Jim Ross working the Global Force Wrestling promoted New Japan Pro Wrestling pay-per-view in January, Ross will be traveling to Tokyo and calling it live from ringside inside the Tokyo Dome. PWInsider reports that Ross made this clear during negotiations and would likely have passed on the job if that wasn?t agreed on. GFW officials are currently considering several names for JR?s broadcast partner.

There is a touring show called "Rifftrax", which is three guys from "Mystery Science Theater 3000" making wisecracks during a movie. The show is beamed to theaters across the country monthly and it's clear they are wrestling fans. This week, they made fun of the 1997 Jennifer Lopez & Jon Voight film "Anaconda," and mentioned that the real name of Jake "The Snake" Roberts is Aurelian Smith Jr., and joked he became Jake Roberts when Aurelian "The Civilian" Smith didn't work. When talking about an egg hatching with nothing inside in the 1998 "Godzilla" movie, Mike J. Nelson said it was the biggest disappointment since the Gobbledy Gooker. TNA reporter Jeff Hamlin was at a theater and said it was clear he was the only person in the theater who understood that line.

Oklafan congratulates Billy Ray who recently surpassed 6 months as NAW Heavyweight Champion. He defeated Running Wolf for the title on May 10, 2014 at an event in Chewey.
We haven't heard details but Kamala was hospitalized over the weekend. Oklafan wishes him a speedy recovery.
Oklafan extends condolences to J. R. Orullian and Brendan Orullian on the passing of their uncle Sam last Friday.
Oklafan extends condolences to the family and friends of Heather Savage, who passed away on November 9th as a result of injuries received in an automobile accident. She was 36 years old. Savage, whose real name was Heather McGuire, was trained at the OPW academy and lost her debut match to Misty Lynn by DQ. Savage had served as a valet for The VIP Crew, but shortly after entering in-ring competition, she was removed from the group, as fellow member Jenna Love became the first OPW Oklahoma Women's Champion. Savage quickly targeted that title and on April 28, 2000, Savage defeated Love for that title. She would go on to become the longest reining OPW Women's Champion of all time before dropping the title back to Love on August 26, 2000. Savage regained the title from Love on December 23, 2000 and would hold just 1 day over three months before losing it to Miss Venom. Savage continued to compete in OPW, mostly as an associate of Cousin Cooter before leaving in 2001 and entering Harley Race's World League Wrestling in Missouri. She held the WLW Women's Title as well but retired in 2002 when she became pregnant with her first child. Savage competed in 22 documented matches in Oklahoma, the first being her debut on February 12, 2000 , which she lost to Misty Lynn by DQ in Tulsa and her last on June 2, 2001 which she lost to Miss Venom.
World League Wrestling posted on Facebook "Our sympathies and thoughts go out to former WLW Ladies wrestler and champion Heather Savage as she has passed away today. RIP Heather, as you will be greatly missed."
Heather Patera posted on Facebook "Love is Patient, Love is Kind dont let Love slip away. My Lord I just got the worst news ever! Heather Savage to WLW fans we just got reconnected after all these years that have passed. My heart is crying but God just acquired an angel that will keep him on his toes! I love you and I will miss the times we kicked each others asses all around Missouri! Godspeed to your family! Bull Schmitt I can?t call right now but I love you and I?m giving long distance Hugs and Kisses to you guys!"
