Ken Ramey passes away

Ken Ramey, one of the greatest managers in pro wrestling history as Dr. Ken Ramey, best known for his pairing with The Masked Interns or Masked Medics (who were first Billy Garrett and Jim Starr, but the most successful incarnation was Tom Andersen & Starr), passed away today at the age of 84.
Ramey was a longtime referee, who was working in Florida when switched to being a manager in the late 1960s. His run was relatively short, he was largely out of wrestling by 1975, although he returned for a last run in 1979 with Buddy Rose & Ed Wiskowski in California.
But Ramey and The Interns were one of the legendary acts in Tennessee, in particular for the angle where they painted Bearcat Brown white.
Ramey was the best manager also in the history of Roy Shire's territory, with four different runs in the territory after arriving in 1971 and leading Paul DeMarco to a U.S. title win over Ray Stevens.
