NWA Pro East responds to latest blog by Jim Ross

From the latest blog from WWE Commentator Jim Ross:
"Regarding the NWA World Title, I don?t have a clue as to what the future of the NWA Title will be, but it will never be the same as when men like Flair, Brisco, Funk, Thesz, Race, Rhodes, etc. traveled the globe defending it. This is not a ?knock? on the recent status of the title, even though some will make it such, which is the same in name only and not as prestigious as it once was in prior generations. The NWA Title will never mean what it once did in the wrestling business. How could it?"
Response from NWA Pro East Promoter Ricky Otazu:
To answer the first part. The title will be awarded as part of a tournament and it will feature many of todays top stars from around the United States and the world. The title can easily regain it former prestige and glory by simply following the game plan laid in place for the NWA and the title at this current time. Yes we are lacking a Flair or Funk to carry the belt at this time but with truly amazing young talent like the American Dragon, Karl Anderson', Brent Albright and Rocky Romero's of the world in the organization the fans will begin to realize we are offering nothing more then great in ring wrestling and that was what made the NWA of the 70's and 80's the greatest wrestling promotion in the world. The true wrestling fan is lacking a place to go and watch 20-30 minute wrestling classics instead of 4-6 minute tv squashes with 40 minute promos. If anyone in the entire wrestling business can understand what is lacking and how the NWA may be able to fill that void it is you MR. Ross. As far as traveling the globe and defending the title whoever is the fine gentleman is that wins the tournament he will find himself defend all across the United States but also Mexico and Japan and as far away as Australia'. Mr. Ross please don't think I am trying to make light of your knowledge or slight you at all because you are someone I respect and admire like no one else in this business and deep down I think you know the fans want a change and The NWA is going to offer that change.
