Steel Prepared To Whip The Hide Of Jaymes In Lumberjack Strap Match

Tyson Jaymes wants everyone to know that he is completely serious about resolving his issue with Glen Steel. And he is not going to let anything stand in his way, no matter what ends he has to resort to.

Jaymes and Steel have been involved in a feud for several weeks now, ever since Jaymes confronted Glen in the ring, leading to an impromptu match on June 15. That match saw nothing determined as both competitors were counted out of the ring and MSWA owner Bad Boy ordered a NO DQ match to happen on June 29th.

The No DQ match did happen, but it was even less decisive than the previous match had been, at least in the short term. Steel did get the 3-count, but afterwards, Jaymes continued the attack, eventually pulling out a belt and whipping Glen with it. Once again Bad Boy came to the rescue, accompanied by Paul Puertorico and Vinnie Pacheco. Bad Boy took matters into his own hands and ordered a Lumberjack Strap Match for July 13th which would settle the issue once and for all.

But sometimes things do not quite go as planned. And sometimes it is not easy to know who is telling the truth. When July 13th came around, a lot of things were different. C. M. Burnham was the newly installed commissioner of MSWA and July is when wrestling licenses must be renewed. Several talents who were scheduled to compete on July 13th were unable to because of licensing issues and according to Burnham, Tyson Jaymes was one of those. So the Lumberjack Strap match had to be postponed and Steel instead was booked to face Brandon Barricade. Most people would not have given Barricade much of a chance in the match against a veteran like Steel, but with the Saints of Pro Wrestling all around ringside, the odds were certainly not in Steel's favour. Add to that a foreign object inserted by Barricade's close associate, SWCW All-American Champion Buster Cherry, and it seemed certain that Steel would eventually fall to the numbers game. But Steel was able to use the ring smarts to his advantage and pull out a victory with a schoolboy rollup. Once the match was over, Bad Boy came out to protect his partners back. And then Tyson Jaymes came through the curtain.

Tyson informed the crowd that Burnham was wrong and that he was, in fact, licensed to compete. He just did not feel comfortable with the contract for the Lumberjack Strap Match as it had been presented to him and had made a few changes. Now, there would be three sets of lumberjacks: One team for Steel, The Saints of Pro Wrestling for Tyson and a neutral set. Jaymes handed the contract to Bad Boy and left with the rest of the Saints.

Some people would say that Tyson Jaymes needed to feel the slap of leather on his posterior many years ago. Now may be the chance for Glen Steel to right some omissions in Jaymes' upbringing on July 27th.
