News On Why Sting May Not Have Re-Signed With TNA, Kurt Angle Talks TNA & More
Posted: Jul 10th 2014 By: Richard Boudreau
On the latest episode of The Ross Report with former WWE Announcer Jim Ross, TNA Superstar Kurt Angle speculated on why Sting may not re-signed with TNA.
"I know that whatever happened in TNA at the end - I believe they could not come to an agreement, I could be wrong, I'm not Sting, and no one in the office is really going to tell me, but I heard they had a deal; an offer, and Sting did not like it."
Angle went on to say that he hopes that Sting will have at least one more run in the WWE before he retires.
"Sting is a rare breed, he still to this day does not want to give up. If he's not in TNA, I would love to see him have one last run in WWE."
Speaking on his own situation with TNA, Angle comments on his current contract negotiations with the company.
"I considered staying. They offered me a multi-year deal, but I told them I need time to think about it, because this next contract is going to be my last - whether WWE or TNA - this is it and where I'm going to retire. I have to really think about it the next few months and see where I want to go."
Angle went to comment that he can't work a full time schedule anymore, because of his age and overall physical health and due to the side effects of trying to kick the habit of pain medications.
"Being off the pain medication and staying clean and sober, you tend to feel your body a little more... and things that you were masking prior to that, I know that I cannot work 300 days a year anymore. I know that I'm going to have to go part-time wherever I go."
