REVIEW: Breaking Kayfabe with Troy Martin

Ever hear the phrase ?as long as they?re talking about me who cares why?? ?The Franchise? Shane Douglas surely lived by that over his career in ECW/NWA/WWE/TNA. But for the man behind that character TROY MARTIN sometimes people talking about you can lead to unwanted media coverage about your private life. Over a near two hour period KAYFABE COMMENTARIES impresario SEAN OLIVER would find that out with the latest edition of BREAKING KAYFABE.

Many topics are covered in the interview from Troy?s growing up in a broken home, being trained with Mick Foley by Dominic DeNucci, his time in the promotions I mentioned while being a public school teacher and his substance abuse issues. Also covered extensively is what went right & wrong with the Extreme Reunion/Rising promotion, Mr. Martin?s view of teaching in the current educational system his children attend and how a management training program in Target led to some unneeded digs from internet fans.

Unlike other DVDs from Kayfabe, I will not spoil everything in this intriguing interview with someone I have known since 2003 when we met in TNA Wrestling. Sean and Troy had a great conversational flow that made it not feel like a typical ?shoot? interview. Troy gives hints to his next wrestling endeavour but not too much. If you have seen interview DVD?s with Shane Douglas, get Troy Martin?s as a companion piece. You will not regret it.
