No Title Opportunity In Near Future For X-Rated

No Title Opportunity In Near Future For X-Rated

Posted: Jun 20th 2014 By: CMBurnham

The skirmish between X-Rated and SWCW Tag Team Champions B. M. F. stepped up quite a bit last Friday as both teams involved other parties in their ongoing confrontations over those tag team belts. But while X-Rated may have on this battle, the war is certainly far from over.

Surprisingly, the issues between both teams did not start with either team at Fridays show. Instead, it started at the end of an SWCW Title match between Drake Gallows and champion Chaz Sharpe. Sharpe became champion due to the interference of SWCW Tag Team and Hardcore Champion Kareem Sadat and while he tried to do the honourable thing and refuse the title, Kevin James Sanchez refused to take it back. So Sharpe has been quite the fighting champion and this match was no different. Both Sharpe and Gallows put everything they had out there for people to see and were in the process of tearing the house down when the newly formed B. K. Express of Brock Landers and Kenny K stormed the ring and attacked both men. The beatdown continued and Sharpe and allows were forced to abandon the ring and try to regroup. But then, Sanchez and his partner David Kyzer arrived and the B. K. Express were trapped in the ring between two hostile forces.

If it hadn't been for the presence of SWCW owner L. J. McDaniel, Landers and K would probably have been left a bloody mess, but McDaniel ordered that the #1 contenders match between both teams should be immediately since they were both present. So the BKE & X-Rated squared off as allows & Sharpe remained at ringside to watch the events. BKE worked well as a team despite being very new, but they could never quite overpower X-Rated. Action spilled out of the ring as Kyzer and K battled near the fans and referee George Knight attempted to bring that under control. And that was all the distraction that Kareem Sadat needed as he slid into the ring after Sanchez delivered a Ring Rat Kick to Landers and speared him all the way across the ring. With Sanchez incapacitated, Landers was able to pick up a quick win and the BKE became #1 contenders.

But the controversy continued as after all of that, Sadat attempted to set up another #1 contenders tag team match between the B. K. E. & Gallows & Sharpe. Neither team really wanted to do this, but Sadat was working hard to try and get all his potential opponents to wear each other down prior to the Crow show. Seeing that this ploy wasn't working the way he hoped, Sadat proposed an impromptu 8-man tag team match: B. K. E, Sadat & McDaniels vs X-Rated, Gallows & Sharpe. This seemed a little suspicious, even to the B. K. E., but the match was agreed to and Landers and K handled things well at the beginning. But when it looked like Sadat was going to have to be tagged into the match, he and McDaniel dropped down off the ring apron and walked away from the match. It was clear then that they did not care about wins and losses on their record. They just wanted to keep the tag team belts under their control.

The X-Rated team went on to claim victory and all 4 members celebrated in the ring, but it was a bittersweet victory for Sanchez & Kyzer as both know they will not be facing Sadat and SWCW Luchadore & Tag Team Champion Rick Russo for the belts at the Crow Show on June 21st. Still, it seems inconceivable that, even with the abuses of power by L. J. McDaniel, X-Rated wont earn an opportunity for those titles at some point down the road.
