WrestlingDVDNews.com reports that WWE?s ?United We Slam: Best of Great American Bash? DVD and Blu-ray that comes out on July 15th will be hosted by Dusty Rhodes from the NXT Arena at Full Sail University. Dusty and Larry Zbyszko do ?present day perspective? commentary on various matches.

WrestlingDVDNews.com also reports that WWE will be releasing a ?Top Giants In Wrestling History? DVD and Blu-ray later this year. There is no confirmed release date yet but it?s expected for October. WWE first brought up the idea of doing a ?Top Giants? DVD in a survey that was issued to fans last year. The synopsis on that survey read ?Top Giants in Wrestling History: 20 profiles on WWE?s Best Giants (Andre, John Studd, Kamala, King Kong Bundy, Big Show, Mark Henry, Gorilla Monsoon, etc).?

WWE is working on a new Macho Man Randy Savage DVD, and Savage's brother Lanny Poffo is involved in the making of the release.

Pat Patterson has been trending on Twitter and other social media sites after revealing he is gay on the finale of "WWE Legends House" that aired last Thursday.

WWE has offered Sting a standard Legends deal but there is more to their negotiations than just the Legends deal. Sting signing with WWE has been the most back and forth story in years but multiple sources still maintain that they are close enough to finalizing and a deal will be done inevitably.

A look at the February 14, 1981 WWF show at the Spectrum in Philadelphia, PA headlined by Bob Backlund vs. Sgt. Slaughter is here

WWE announced the release of Drew McIntyre, Jinder Mahal, Aksana, Curt Hawkins, Theodore Long, Camacho, Brodus Clay, Yoshi Tatsu, Evan Bourne, J. T. G., and referee Marc Harris . Bourne is the brother of Mike Sydal. Regarding the releases, a source noted that they were apparently done to help stem the losses from WWE Network start-up costs and the cannibalization of WWE?s pay-per-view business. The idea within WWE has been to avoid doing releases, instead just letting contracts expire, but obviously that had to change. As far as the released talents showing up in TNA, the only one that could sign with the company is Teddy Long, as his contract had expired. The other talents were informed they were being released so they will be paid their downside for another 90 days and then will be free to do what they want. September 12th would be the earliest that any of them could sign with TNA.

Former University of Tennessee at Chattanooga linebacker Gunner Miller is working a WWE tryout at the Performance Center in Orlando, FL last week and told WCRB-TV that his friendship with The Ultimate Warrior is what got him interested. Miller said "He?s (Ultimate Warrior) telling me you should get a shot and do this. It seems like you have a look and the right physical style for it. I?m thinking it might be cool and realistic."

On Saturday, Dixie Carter posted on Twitter ?Amazing dinner w/@KevinVonErich. What an honor to have him at #Slammiversary. Don?t miss history tomorrow.?. She also posted a picture which you can see by clicking here.

Jeff Jarrett posted the following today on Twitter, teasing that some of the recently released WWE talents could be joining his Global Force Wrestling promotion. He posted "Well, the Independent Wrestling talent pool just got deeper today? And, it?s really deep already? #GFW".

The Fort Worth Star-Telegram had a story Thursday on Kevin Von Erich returning for TNA Slammiversary on Sunday in Arlington, TX

The main reason for bringing Kevin Von Erich and his sons Ross & Marshall to Sunday?s TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view was to boost ticket sales since the Von Erich name was always a big draw in Dallas. Word is that there really was a jump in ticket sales when they were announced. The TNA appearance is meant to be a one-time deal for Ross & Marshall.

Kevin Von Erich on his Facebook page "What a great feeling to see your sons rise to the occasion. The media blitz before the show, I watched the pressure build, and build, I saw the pressure on the boys faces, I was nervous for them, even though I've seen that look on my own face and on my brothers, they were tough, and rather than be fearful, they trusted Him and attacked. That is what a Father wants from his son, to do his best in the face of incredible odds. They had their first real match, the pressure was on and they poured their guts into it. From here they will grow, & experience things that will sharpen them, until they are just like we were. That show was beautiful to me, the response from the fans, awesome, and this first step by my sons is to be the first step into a great new chapter in our lives. They didn't step away they stepped up, and can only go onward and upward from here. For sure I just had the best Father's Day a man could ask for."

During his recent "London is Jericho" one man show, Chris Jericho told a story of how he once had Bill Goldberg in a headlock and Goldberg couldn't get out. A fan on Twitter related the story to Goldberg and he responded by saying "He's [Chris Jericho] on crack."

Ryan Dilbert of BleacherReport.com wrote a story entitled "Seth Rollins and the 10 Greatest Heel Turns in WWE History" and coming in at #1 was Randy Savage (1989). Others on the list include Paul Orndorff (1986) at #10, Larry Zbyszko (1980) at #8, Sgt. Slaughter (1990) at #4, and Andre the Giant (1987) at #2. Listed under Honorable Mention was Paul Bearer (1996). To read the entire story, click here.
