REVIEW: WWE: The Ultimate Ric Flair Collection
Posted: Jun 7th 2014 By: Larz Richards
I remember when this 3 disc set first came out it was a very big deal. Time has shown that this release is pretty light on the wrestling content for a WWE DVD release though. Its a Flair DVD set though so most of the stuff on here is good-excellent, especially the Steamboat matches. The first disc is probably the weakest as Flair/Rhodes isn't very good and Flair/Race didn't do anything for me and features the worst ref job is history by Gene Kiniski whose just constantly in the way. Its funny because if your a referee your doing a good job if the people really don't notice you and so you don't really think about how important the ref is too overall match quality until you see someone do it badly.
This is one of those sets were its good, but it could've been so much better. I guess you could think of this as more of a appetizer rather than a main course. Still its been out
long enough that I imagine you could probably pick it up for a pretty good price.
