Report: WWE to Announce Sting's Signing at WrestleMania XXX?

Big question marks surround Sting's future.
Most fans assume that the former WCW star, who parted ways with TNA earlier this year, is WWE-bound. However, nothing official has been announced.
In this week's (subscribers-only) F4W Newsletter, Bryan Alvarez notes that the original plan was to air a Sting vignette at WrestleMania XXX, although whether that it still happening is apparently up in the air:
"At one point, the plan for Sting was to run a promo for his return during WrestleMania and have him debut the next night on Raw. The idea was to do something similar to how they debuted Goldberg. That may have changed, but given how long it's been since WCW closed, getting younger fans to find out who Sting is during the day between the shows might be the best option."
There are a few notable positives to announcing Sting's impending arrival at WrestleMania XXX. As the biggest and most-watched wrestling pay-per-view of the year, it will be the best and most high-profile stage available to announce the legend's signing.
Certainly, it would get his WWE run off to the best start possible. Regardless of his age?he's 54?faded star power and numerous injuries over the years, Sting can still be a big deal in wrestling, assuming Vince McMahon treats him as one.
Ideally, you could play the announcement just before or after The Undertaker fights Brock Lesnar on the card, playing into the long-held fan hopes that a Sting vs. Undertaker dream match will one day come to fruition in a WWE ring.
You'd also be guaranteed that viewers would be tuning into Monday's Raw in droves to check out his first-ever live appearance for WWE. (OK, so they'll probably tune in anyway due to the post-WrestleMania buzz, but still, you want the show to be as anticipated as possible.)
It's certainly a tantalizing option, but we'll have to wait and see just what the company decides to do on Sunday.
