Threesome Not So Majestic In Acquiring US Championship

Threesome Not So Majestic In Acquiring US Championship

Jealousy has reared its ugly head once again in SRPW.

Ray Martinez has always demanded to be the centre of attention. Be it as a member of the P.I.N.K. Nation, on his own or as he is now, as a member of the newly formed MHM, Inc., together with K. P. Moore and Alabastair Hunt. Martinez's ego demands that no one else should outshine him.

Recently, Martinez has been embroiled in a battle with SRPW Commissioner Bobby Burns, but that now seems to have been settled. Or so Hunt said on March 8 before hitting Burns from behind with a briefcase. MHM attacked Burns 3-on-1 until Matt Majestic came to the rescue with his trusty pool noodle and drove the faction away. A Handicap match was set up for the main event and both sides couldn't wait to get their hands on each other.

But even the use of powder by Hunt couldn't stop Burns, who only seemed to grow stronger after having the substance thrown in his eyes. Burns assisted Majestic in scoring a splash on Moore to win the match and help quash Martinez's dreams just a little further.

Or so they believed...

After Martinez disposed of SRPW newcomer The Captain at the most recent SRPW event, he introduced his lawyer, Jonathon Finkelstein. Finkelstein announced that, due to Majestic's actions in the main event at the previous show, he was being forced to relinquish his SRPW United States Title to MHM, Inc, who would then share ownership of the title. Majestic arrived and looked at the paperwork, even asking Burns if he had indeed signed it. After confirming that there was nothing blatantly illegal about the action, Majestic took the microphone and prepared to address MHM, Inc. He had fought hard to win the US Title from Cody Burns and did not want all of his hard work to be taken away from him by legal shenanigans. But since paperwork had been served, it was not possible to deny what seemed to be MHM's right.

But before Majestic handed over the belt, he announced that he would do so willingly under one condition. He demanded a series of 1-on-1 matches with each of the member of MHM, Inc. and, if he could defeat all 3 of them in those matches, he would regain the SRPW US Title. Martinez seemed a bit taken aback by this, but agreed and announced that the first member of the group to face Majestic would be K. P. Moore. Majestic agreed, but before he could leave the ring to go prepare for that match, Moore and Martinez attacked Majestic, leaving him brutalised in the middle of the ring.

When it came time for their match, Majestic arrived pumped and ready to take the first step to taking back his US title, while Moore and Martinez looked confident as well. Knowing they had the 2 to 1 advantage with Martinez on the outside certainly made Moore more aggressive in the ring. And perhaps the ego boost of laying claim (even if it was shared) to his first title seemed to motivate him as well. But in the end, Majestic hit Moore with a belly-to-belly suplex and disposed of 1/3 of the obstacle standing between him and what he wanted.

Rumour has it that at the next show, Majestic will be facing Alabastair Hunt. Hunt is almost an unknown quantity for Majestic. He has only had 2 matches in SRPW and not much is known about him outside, although rumours of an MMA background circulate around him. Majestic will need to be at his best in order to lay hands back on that precious US title and proceed on to bigger things in his career.
