A Brand New Day In MSWA

A Brand New Day In MSWA

Posted: Mar 8th 2014 By: CMBurnham

For over 15 months, MSWA fans were subjected to the whims and desires of Impact, Inc.

For over 15 months, fans saw at least one of the three MSWA championships in the clutches of Impact, Inc.

For 15 months, a dark cloud hung over the MSWA ring.

But after February Fallout, fans can one again rejoice. As a new day as dawned in MSWA.

Double D, who many believed was gone from MSWA for good, answered the challenge of MSWA Oklahoma Champion Kevin Morgan. Morgan had interrupted a Wild West Show reenactment when D arrived to take his opportunity for the Oklahoma Title. After a hard fought match and a high crossbody, D captured the Oklahoma Title for the first time.

UWE Tag Team Champions The K. C. Wolves put on a wrestling clinic with MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champions What Wrestling Should Be. In a Match of the Year contender that had to be seen to be believed, The Wolves became dual champions and captured their first MSWA Tag Team Titles.

And in the main event, MSWA Mid-South Champion Johnny Z put is title on the line aainst Damon Windsor in a Casket Match. Z did everything to try and retain his title including running out on the match and kicking referee Brock Landers in the crotch. But Landers was prepared and Windsor was determined and when the main event ended, Windsor shut the lid on Z's 15-month reign and captured his first MSWA Title.

Winning all those titles is one thing. But the real proof is in being able to defend them. And all 3 did just that at the very next MSWA event. WWSB invoked their rematch clause and another tag team masterpiece was painted on the canvas by these two teams. Despite trading finishers many times, WWSB were unable to recapture the titles and the Wolves look to have a long fruitful reign.

Double D faced another behemoth of a different sort as he took on Angel Camacho. It was a big challenge, but D as never let being the underdog in a match hold him back and he pulled off his first successful Oklahoma Title defence with another crossbody. D looks to be on a roll once again in MSWA.

And despite IZW Champion Jonny Z's absence, Damon Windsor would not be afforded a night off. Per commissioner Erica's demand, Windsor found himself across the ring from his former tag team partner, Kevin Morgan. Two titans that know each other very well. But with AnnaLynn Storm at ringside to counter Ericas presence, Morgan could not reclaim the MSWA Title for his saviour and Windsor remained the champion, much to the fans delight.

The new championship regime appears to be settled in and hopes to be prepared for all the challenges to come. And Impact, Inc. looks to be powerless after such a long time at the top of the MSWA mountain.

No the fans must simply hope that appearances are not deceiving....
