Regarding Sting not signing a deal with WWE yet, it?s more because WWE is dragging their feet. We noted before that WWE officials are in no hurry to get Sting signed for a WrestleMania XXX match but word is that Sting himself was hoping for a match against The Undertaker at this year?s event. Since Sting lives in the Dallas, TX area, he is willing to meet up with The Undertaker and work out the match in private at Undertaker?s gym, over and over, to get it right, which is what Undertaker?s opponents have done for the past several years. That?s one of the reasons the matches have gone over so well. There was some concern that Brock Lesnar, who is in it because he makes big money for a limited amount of work and only has a certain number of dates on his contract, may not be willing to spend several extra days working with Taker to get the entire match worked out.

Apparently Sting was eager to face The Undertaker at WrestleMania XXX, but Taker and the WWE had the plan of a Taker vs. Lesnar match for mania dating back to 2010, so Sting at this point in his career wouldn't be a replacement for a mega star in the industry like Brock Lesnar. Sting has apparently go so far as to want to meet with Taker at his private gym to work on a match, like other WWE Superstars have done in the past when working with Taker for a mania match.

Sting had not signed a WWE contract as of the weekend, reports The Wrestling Observer Newsletter. From the WWE side, they are saying the deal is super close, but yet to finalized. They are working on a merchandising deal. Right now the idea is not to use him at WrestleMania (which can all change), but maybe have him appear next year in Santa Clara, CA.

Booker T recently did an interview for PWKGW, which can be found at this link, and when asked about Sting coming to WWE, he said "Ya know I would hope so, I really think it?s something he shoulda did some years ago, he had his reasons why he didn?t, he?s a religious man, I don?t know if that?s why he hasn?t yet, he was a cornerstone of WCW. He deserves to be mentioned as such.?

It?s no secret there have been issues between Scott Hall and Bill Goldberg since their WCW days. Goldberg posted the following on Twitter to a fan about Hall "Hopefully he?s a changed man. Happy for him?(can?t believe I said that)". Hall is rumored to be a WWE Hall of Fame inductee this year.

Ric Flair has signed a new contract with WWE. All of his appearances and business deals have to be cleared by WWE from here on out. Flair can be booked outside of WWE but in every deal, there is a clause that if WWE calls and needs him for anything, he has to cancel the other booking.

According to the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Ric Flair has signed a new contract with the WWE. But going forward, all appearances and business deals have to be cleared with the WWE front office first, which means that he will not be able to secure lucrative deals for appearances he has done in the past. Flair can still make outside appearances aside from WWE, but the company has put in a clause that states he can be utilized last minute if need be and he can be pulled from any outside deals or appearances, which makes it risky for smaller pro wrestling promotions that have booked Flair and have paid high appearance fees.

As noted, Ric Flair recently signed a new Legends deal with WWE. WWE has released a new t-shirt for The Nature Boy. To see the new shirt, click here.

Ron Simmons was a recent guest on "In Your Head Radio" and during the interview he talked about the recent passing of Mae Young "The only thing I can say about Mae Young is that it was just an honor to have been around her for the many years that I had the privilege of seeing her even in action and being around her. She was just a great woman; always cheerful, always had something uplifting to tell you. Along with (The Fabulous) Moolah, her partner, when you saw one of them you might as well had seen them both because they were very much alike, and they were fantastic women as well as great wrestlers period. I don?t want to say just for being a woman, I mean period; as tough as they come, and she will surely be missed. God bless her." Later he was aksed about tagging with Butch Reed in Doom. You can listen to the interview by clicking here.

Steve Austin noted on his latest Unleashed podcast that he recorded interviews with Zeb Colter, Big Show, William Regal and John Cena while at RAW in Los Angeles earlier this week.

Roddy Piper continues to campaign for a role at WrestleMania XXX. He posted on Twitter ?#WWE put Piper in WMXXX! He promises, the fans will love it! Or is ?What?s good for biz? just a line a writer made for you!?. He also posted on Twitter that he would be glad to induct Mr. T into the WWE Hall of Fame if the rumors of T going in this year are true.

Fighting Spirit Magazine posted an interview with Terry Funk regarding the CM Punk situation. He said ?It?s a smart move on [Punk's] part,? said Funk, referring to how clear Punk has now made his point. ?If you look at what Vince has done, if someone has drawn him some money they will be on the card at WrestleMania, no matter what has happened between them. CM Punk will be back, because if he isn?t, Vince leaves money on the table. If being in the last match at WrestleMania is his wish, then he?s going to try and make it come true, the only way possible,? added Funk. ?He?s put the ball back in Vince?s court, and that?s difficult because Vince has the only court. This is what made it so good about having several places to go [in years past].? To read the entire interview, click here.

Chris Trew of NOLADefender.com spoke to Sgt. Slaughter about WrestleMania. You can read the story by clicking here.

WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley announced on Facebook that he will be doing a live show during WrestleMania XXX weekend in New Orleans, LA. Foley is also asking fans to help him name the show. Here?s part of what he wrote, "Yes, it looks like I will have my own LIVE show during Wrestlemania weekend! This will actually be the final stop of the ?Tales From Wrestling Past? tour, before I begin an entirely new show. So the fans on hand will be getting my very best stories, told the best way I know how, pretty much honed to be as good as they can be through many months of trial and error ? and I think it will be a memorable evening for all. But I would like to give the show a special name ? something that ties it in to Wrestlemania. I need some ideas in a hurry, and was hoping that some of you might be able to provide some. So if you have an idea ? something I can call this special show, please let me know. I was thinking of ?Mick Foley?s Mania Memories?, but I think you guys can probably do better. If you have an idea, feel free to share it."

Jake Roberts noted on Twitter that he will announce his WWE Hall of Fame inductor soon. Jake said it ?should be obvious? who the inductor is, leading fans to speculate that Diamond Dallas Page will be doing the honors. In regards to wrestling another match for WWE, Jake said ?never say never? but nothing is planned as of now.

Both Jake Roberts and The Ultimate Warrior have congratulated fellow 2014 Hall of Famer Lita on her induction. Here?s what they posted on Twitter. Jake posted ?There goes my plan to be the best looking @WWE Hall of Fame inductee. Congratulations Lita. Great talent & well deserved. @AmyDumas?. Warrior posted ?Ain?t nothing more powerful than being in the company of a strong, smart, creative and independent woman. Congrats @AmyDumas. See ya #WWEHOF?.

A fan on Twitter asked Goldberg if he would even consider a return match to close out his ?Hall of Fame career.? Goldberg replied ?I would consider it.?

Jake Roberts, the master of the DDT, gave props to Cameron for her DDT on Monday?s RAW and says Randy Orton could learn from her. Here?s what he posted on Twitter, ?About time the DDT worked again. Cameron, show the others how its done. No one kicks out a real DDT. Maybe I have to show them myself. @WWE?. Then later he posted ?Looked good Orton?but you did something wrong. Get with Cameron.?

Jake ?The Snake? Roberts will wrestle in a six-man match just two weeks before his WWE Hall of Fame induction on March 22nd at Maryland Championship Wrestling?s Tag Wars 2K14 event. Jake will team with Adam Flash and Ronnie Zukko to face Aziz Daniels, Mitch Miller and Paul White.

Former WWF Women?s Champion Rockin? Robin is featured in a new DVD from Highspots. She talks about the abuse that she and her brothers, wrestlers Jake ?The Snake? Roberts and Sam Houston, suffered at the hands of their father, wrestler Grizzly Smith. She also talks about her relationship with Jake and more. You can see the trailer by clicking here.

As previously reported, TNA was for sale and Jeff Jarrett, through his connections with the Nashville music industry, and Toby Keith in particular, tried to put together a bid to buy the company. The deal was very close at one point. Bob Carter came to Keith to finalize the deal and the two sides were close on a price, although they were not quite there. The belief is they were going to hash it out, but Carter only had one request in selling, which was that Dixie Carter would remain with her title, have some power in the company, and remain a television character. Keith said he wasn?t going to buy the company with any creative limitations, so the deal actually fell apart because Bob Carter in the end was going to protect his daughter. Someone in TNA who was aware of how it went down noted "That's why we all are still here," noting if it was about business, TNA would have never survived after the last golden carrots (prime time TV and Hulk Hogan) failed to increase popularity or take the company from losing money. At that point, the feeling was from Keith and Jarrett that they didn?t need to buy the company, as they could start their own company from scratch. The deal falling through would have been shortly before Jarrett quit TNA in December. The other thing noted is when this story got out inside of TNA, those who had tried to believe the Janice Carter memo and thought the idea was that the Carters wouldn?t sell, and the talks were for just a minority investor, realized they?d been had.

The potential Jeff Jarrett-Toby Keith project was mentioned during a country music news segment on Sirius XM?s "The Highway" noting that they attempted to purchase TNA Wrestling & since that ?apparently fell through? the ?founder of TNA? & Keith with all his business acumen are starting their own ?massive promotion.?

Regarding TNA?s new partnership with Wrestle-1, it is something that was put together by Jeff Jarrett but is now handled by Bob Ryder and ?Big? John Gaburick.

MVP was a recent guest on "The V2 Wrestling Podcast" and he talked about the recent TNA departure of Sting and Hulk Hogan. He said "While it?s sad to see them go, it?s also tremendously exciting to see that void filled by new stars who are stepping up and working hard to try to become legends in their own right." You can listen to the podcast by clicking here.

Former WWE Tough Enough winner Andy Leavine, who has been wrestling in Puerto Rico, posted the following on Twitter to Jeff Jarrett about a spot in his new wrestling promotion. He posted "If you?re looking for talent and there?s an opportunity, where can I throw my name into the mix and EARN a spot?"

Butch Reed was a recent guest of Fox Sports 1340. He spoke about who had the Hacksaw name first, his legendary feud with JYD, the formation of Doom, his thoughts on the WWE today, why he wants to be in the Hall of Fame, and why he feels CM Punk should ?man up? and go back to WWE. To listen to the interview, click here.
