WWE announced last night on RAW that Jake Roberts will be inducted into their Hall of Fame during WrestleMania weekend in New Orleans, LA in April.

After he was announced as the newest inductee to the WWE Hall of Fame, Jake Roberts thanked WWE on Twitter by posting "The prodigal son is welcomed home. Thank you WWE & all my supporters for sticking by me. I hope all are enjoying as much as I am."

Several people in the wrestling world congratulated Jake Roberts on social media for being named a WWE Hall of Fame induction announcement:

Steve Austin: "Congrats to @JakeSnakeDDT. #WWE HOF. It's about damn time. One of my all time favorites."

Mick Foley: "He did it! Good for you @JakeSnakeDDT - well deserved, and long overdue. Can't wait to hear that speech at #WWEHOF. #RAW"

It's reported that the upcoming DVD on The Ultimate Warrior will be released the Tuesday before WrestleMania and it apparently will be the exact opposite of the 2005 biopic burial of the superstar, so obviously it will be a more respectful story on Warrior, considering he's entering the WWE Hall of Fame this year.

Among the rumored matches for WrestleMania XXX in New Orleans, LA is The Ultimate Warrior vs. Ryback.

WWE has been discussing one more match for The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania 30. The current discussions have him facing Ryback at the big event, as most feel the alternate plan of Ryback vs. Goldberg is dead due to money issues.

Mick Foley posted on Twitter "Well, with over 16,000 RT's on my last message about being disgusted with the #RoyalRumble, I guess I said what many of you were feeling."

Evan Bourne posted on Twitter "I'm very excited and curious to see what will transpire on @WWE #RAW tonight. I would PAY to watch it with @realmickfoley?.#passion".

For the fourth straight year, WWE's Gerald Brisco will head a talent evaluation camp in Waterloo, IA in conjunction with the George Tragos/Lou Thesz Hall of Fame induction ceremony. It will be on July 18th, at 12 noon, at the Five Sullivan Brothers Convention Center. Each wrestler will get a full match with a ring introduction. When it's over, Brisco and other guest wrestlers will evaluate the talent. Some talent may be used later that night at a house show. Jim Ross is hoping to attend as well but that is not confirmed. Several independent promoters will also be there. The evaluation costs $200, with all money going to the Dan Gable Museum and Tragos/Thesz Hall of Fame. Last year's event sold out within weeks of the announcement. Send a resume, with a photo, height, age, name of trainer and a list of career highlights to Troy Peterson at wresshow@yahoo.com. It is open to both men and women. Among those scheduled in for the weekend as part of the Hall of Fame include Dallas Page, Larry Matysik, Rick Steiner, Scott Steiner, Larry Hennig, Baron Von Raschke, Danny Hodge, and Colt Cabana.

Former TNA announcer Todd Keneley was a guest on "The Shoot" radio show on MoreLikeRadio.com. On the departure of Jeff Jarrett he said "That one was definitely a big head turner, i mean here?s a guy that really put himself out there, founded that company, took a chance did the weekly PPVs, got on Fox Sports at one point, eventually teamed up with the Carters, got on Spike TV. You think about the roller coaster this guy went through and the sacrifices he made to keep that company around is unbelievable so to walk away from it it?s got to be for a good reason one would think. You read the rumors that he?s going to start his own thing and we?ll see. I honestly hope he does, because the more variety and more opportunity for talented people in this business to get work, be seen and make a living the better. He?s obviously got a great mind for the business, but yeah that?s one where if you followed TNA from day one then he?s the guy who started it all so you gotta look at it and say whats going on here." On the departure of A. J. Styles, he said "Time will tell whats really going on there. Obviously as much as Jeff Jarrett founded TNA and is synonymous with TNA in terms of a in ring competitor he?s been labeled at times the poster boy of TNA wrestling, AJ Styles is another guy that you just saw his career, you basically him basically grow up in the business in TNA. They were the ones that really gave him a big opportunity to shine and you saw him go from X Division competitor to holding tag team gold all the way to becoming World Champion. He?s a guy you can?t help but respect, a guy that has tons of class, hard worker, great attitude in terms of working with people. Jim Cornette denied he is buying TNA when he posted on Twitter "n other news I am NOT the new TNA investor--I spent that two grand more wisely--".

Sting has updated his Twitter, Facebook and official website with the following message, "The only thing that's for sure about STING is nothing's for sure".

According to the Jaunary 23rd update on F4WOnline.com, Sting is apparently so strong in the WWE right now, that a concept has come up several times using the term "a man called Sting" and has been discussed. But it should be noted that no contract has been signed as of yet between Sting and the WWE, so it remains to be seen if he will indeed walk the aisle of the WWE. This man called Sting concept could be a varation of Sting's "Crow" gimmick, during his time in WCW, although WWE may feel that it wants a fresh idea for Sting, if he indeed comes to the promotion.

Ric Flair issued the following statement regarding his absence at the Watermelon Capital Speedway in Cordele, GA this past weekend "To the fans, crew and drivers, I profusely apologize that I won?t be able to be at the race, but hope everyone still heads out to Watermelon Capital Speedway this weekend to support my buddy David Ragan at Zaxby?s SpeedFest 2014."

As previously announced, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross will be doing his Ringside: An Evening with Jim Ross show in New Orleans during WrestleMania week. JR will host two shows on Thursday, April 3, held at the House of Blues, just down the road from Wrestling-Online?s official hotel partner, The Ritz-Carlton, New Orleans. The first show will be held at 6:30PM while the second one will kick off at 9:30PM with tickets going on sale this coming Saturday at 10AM at Ticketmaster.com. Ticket prices are $30 for general admission, $45 for balcony seating, and $70 for a VIP ticket which will also include a meet and greet with the legendary wrestling announcer. The House of Blues is located at 225 Decatur Street.

Cheerleader Melissa will once again be receiving a Cauliflower Alley Club award. This marks her second award as she previously earned the Future Legend Awaard in 2004. This time, she will receive the Women?s (Active) Award at the 49th annual reunion in Las Vegas, NV from June 2nd through 4th.

Bobby Eaton has been released from the hospital. He had been in and out for weeks due to complications from diabetes.

Michael DiBiase was arrested in Amarillo, TX on January 23rd after a 12 hour standoff with Amarillo Police and SWAT after they had learned that a suspect, who was wanted on a violation warrant was inside the building that houses several businesses. Police believed at the time he may have had access to weapons. DiBiase was booked on an original conviction stemming from a tampering with/destruction of evidence charge and a charge of hindering apprehension. He is the son of WWE Hall of Famer "Million Dollar Man" Ted DiBiase.

Jake ?The Snake? Roberts apologized for dissing the Ultimate Warrior and said he was just trying to be entertaining while appearing on a radio show but ?took things too far.? Roberts said that he has no business inferring anything negative about him and added that he deserved the Hall of Fame nod and respect for what he accomplished during his career. Jake said that he?s sharing his recovery path and is doing great ?so no pity, bathrooms stalls or groveling,? referring to what Warrior wrote about him. ?I am an addict and alcoholic working every single day to repair and make the best out of the life I have left. I make mistakes, like that comment, but my recovery has been amazing. Jim does not know this Jake. Without realizing or intending to, I fired the first shot and will take Jim's response without any negativity towards him. I apologize and am putting behind me.?

Former WCW star The Stro (formerly known as The Maestro) has published a new column at PWMania.com. In the column he talked about Jake Roberts.
