WWSB Elevate Status Of Greenhorns

WWSB Elevate Status Of Greenhorns

Posted: Dec 29th 2013 By: CMBurnham

It's easy to pick on the less experienced, the disadvantaged and the outnumbered. And its no secret that Impact, Inc. love to take the easy way out.

The current IZW and MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champions, Jermaine Johnson & Jordan Jacobs, along with their manager and sometime partner, Mark Wilson, have enjoyed success largely due to this type of tactic. Outnumber the opponents, exploit the weaknesses and, as Wilson loves to bra, cheat to win.

So when a new group of individuals arrived in MSWA at the beginning of December, at Wrestling Should Be couldnt resist the opportunity to show them up. On December 1st, Spike Lopez, Vinnie Versace & Kenny K came to the ring to introduce themselves. That introduction was interrupted by the Sexy Camachos, who commenced a beating that was mercifully stopped by The Syndicate, leading to another chapter in the ongoing war between those to teams.

Not allowing themselves to be dissuaded, Lopez, Versace & K came to the ring two weeks ago to address the crowd. All three expressed frustration at being left in the back and overlooked for matches, so they decided to join together and take matters into their own hands. And that was the point that Johnson, Jacobs and Wilson arrived. Johnson said that the three of them were already famous simply for having been in the ring with WWSB, but he was fine with making "you three greenhorns" even more famous by challenging them to a match in the main event. After WWSB left, Lopez said that as far as he was concerned, green meant go, so they would accept the name greenhorn as a compliment and looked forward to facing the Impact, Inc. members later in the card.

It's true that none of the men have extensive experience. Kenny K as been competing in Texas for a couple of years, but Versace & Lopez are both at less than one years experience and none have any titles or long-term tag team experience with each other, so the odds were certainly against them. Nevertheless, the newly christened Greenhorns stepped up to the challenge And it was quite a challenge as the presence of Erica at ringside ave Impact, Inc. even more of an advantage then they would normally have. Several times, the match broke down into a all-out brawl as the referee struggled to maintain order. All three members of the Greenhorns had good showings, but the experience factor as simply too much to overcome. Ultimately, Johnson scored a Sky-High on one of the rookies and won the match. But, in what should be no surprise to anyone, that wasn't enough for the evil trio as they commenced a massive attack on the Greenhorns until Damon Windsor & UWE Tag Team Champions The K. C. Wolves arrived to make the save. Not one to pass up an opportunity, IZW & MSWA Mid-South Champion Johnny Z slid in to try and give Impact, Inc. a numbers advantage once again. It finally took Bad Boy to order an impromptu 6-man tag team match to restore order and pit Windsor & The Wolves against Wilson, Johnson & Johnny Z. Like the first 6-man, this match was difficult for referee Brock Landers to control and several times in threatened to spill out in to the fans. Sensing that a victory could not be achieved as easily against the more veteran team of opponents, Z tried to take a shortcut by grabbing his title belt. But Landers was not about to let Z once again cheat to a victory and grabbed the belt, struggling with Z over control of it. A brief shoving match between the two resulted and then, in retaliation for the previous weeks actions, Landers kicked Z straight in the groin, much to the delight of the crowd. Windsor then caught Z in a chokeslam and pinned the champ in the middle of the ring.

Ego can be a hue detriment. Its easy to overrate your ability when you sit on top of the mountain. WWSB would do well to remember that their possession of the tag team titles is inherent on their ability to win matches. With contenders like The K. C. Wolves and possibly a combination of The Greenhorns chasing them, as well as veteran contenders like the Syndicate and the Sexy Camachos, Johnson, Jacobs and Wilson cannot afford to underestimate anyone they step in the ring against. All of them were greenhorns at one point as well. The journey down can be a lot swifter than the journey up.
