While shopping at a Tulsa area AT&T store last week, Misty Lynn took down a thief. The thief tried to steal a tablet and a phone and then escape out the doors. Two store employees held the doors closed, but company policy prohibited them from becoming physically involved. Misty took the suspect down with a headlock and choke hold and held him for 20 minutes until the authorities arrived at the store to take away the suspect.

Mick Foley added some comments to the new Topps WWE trading card set. Greg Oliver of SLAM! Wrestling wrote a story about Foley contribution entitled "Foley's words makes new Topps set worthwhile". You can read the entire story by clicking here.

Sheamus, Mark Henry, Rey Mysterio, Mick Foley, Kaitlyn, Jimmy Hart, Alicia Fox and Booker T will be in New Orleans for the WrestleMania ticket sale kickoff on November 15th at Champions Square in New Orleans at 5pm.

In a funny story, on the WWE web site, there was a section for top 15 WCW losers like Maestro, High Voltage (who were nicknamed at the time High Dosage) and the world famous Mulkey Brothers. One of the guys listed was Lodi, complete with a picture advertising RF Video in the background and match video of him getting killed by Goldberg with a big RF Video sign in the background.

All indications point to A. J. Styles remaining with TNA when his short term agreement expires. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter reports that WWE offered him about one-fifth what he?s currently making.

In response to a report in The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that WWE low balled A. J. Styles in contract talks, Styles responded via Twitter "Let me clear things up. I haven't talked with wwe. I shouldn't have to tell u this but, don't believe everything u read on the internet."

Tom Simon was named commissioner of Mid-States Wrestling at their 10th anniversary show this past Saturday in Harrison, Arkansas.

The Iron Sheik got a lot of publicity in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on CTV in a story about Toronto mayor Rob Ford admitting to smoking crack cocaine and refusing to resign from office, they showed Iron Sheik visiting him as well. Sheik was also on the cover of recent edition of the Toronto Star showing him arm wrestling Ford. You can see the CTV segment by clicking here,

Don Peat of QMI Agency wrote a story entitled "Iron Sheik challenges Mayor Rob Ford to arm wrestle" which chronicles Sheik challenging the mayor of Toronto, Ontario Canada to an arm wrestling match. You can read the story by clicking here.

Just two days into his one month fundraiser to help him pay for his shoulder surgery, Hacksaw Jim Duggan managed to get all the money needed to cover the costs. On November 5th, Duggan began an Indiegogo.com fundraising effort to come up with $6,500 to help him pay for shoulder surgery. Duggan is suffering from a torn rotator cuff in his right shoulder and is in desperate need of surgery. "Without this surgery Hacksaw is severely limited in his range of motion and his ability to perform in the ring, which to this day is still his livelihood" says the summary on the page. Hacksaw hoped to raise $6,500 to completely fund the shoulder surgery but as of this writing, over $7,500 have been raised with 28 days left in the campaign. In return of a donation, Duggan will be sending out perks including 8x10 autographed photos, a personal phone call, a t-shirt, a Skype video call, and one night stay at Diamond Dallas Page's Accountability Crib which Page donated. ?The Total Package? Lex Luger was a recent on "WGD Weekly", discussing all points from his storied career in professional wrestling. During the near 90 minute interview, Luger touched on all the most controversial spots in his career. On Ric Flair and being a member of The Four Horseman he said "Well, Ric (Flair) lived his persona both in the ring and out of the ring, I found that out right away, I feel like for about three years there hanging out with the Horseman, I feel like I didn?t sleep for almost three years?Ric could stay up all night?then he go to the gym and work out with me, then he go and wrestle an hour broadway, I don?t know how he did it?Ric will always tell you image is everything, he always had a limo waiting for us, we flew usually private or if we flew commercial, first class, stay at really nice hotels?Ric was everything he said he was both in and out of the ring, that?s for sure?" On Flair leaving WCW in 1991 with the title before their scheduled cage match and showing on WWE TV with it he said "I was scheduled to wrestle Ric in the cage and I was scheduled to win the title that night?I wasn?t told a lot, but they told me, 'We're putting you in the cage with Ric and you?re winning the world title'. As far as what happened after that, it was political stuff behind the scenes that I was not privy to, I heard that Ric was trying to negotiate a new contract, and I wanted the best for Ric, so when Ric ended up on television with the belt in the competing organization, I never had any hard feelings about that because I knew Ric had worked so hard and had such an incredible career, he was trying to do what was best for him and his family, from a business sense, I never took it personally?I was disappointed I didn?t get to wrestle Ric in the cage to win the world title, but I wasn?t upset with Ric that he went and did what he had to do and what he thought was best business wise for Ric Flair?WCW at the time, they were negotiating with Ric almost right up until the day of the match ?to still come in and do the match, it just fell apart at the last minute. Ric almost was WCW, so for Ric to leave was a huge void and vacuum that myself and nobody could possibly even entertain the thought of replacing?they didn?t even have a belt ready yet?I think a lot of the guys were disappointed that Ric wasn?t there, but the show must go on". Oklafan extends its condolences to the family and friends of Doug Gilbert who passed away on November 5th at the age of 76. Gilbert, not to be confused with the wrestler of the same name who was also the brother of Eddie Gilbert, was best known as "Mr. High" when he held the AWA World Tag Team Titles with "Mr. Low" Dick Steinborn. Gilbert had 15 documented matches in Oklahoma. The earliest was a victory over Treacherous Phillips on May 31, 1965 and the last being a loss to Red McKim on May 30, 1966.
