The Scoop

NEWS
Jake Roberts canceled his appearance at the "Kevin Nash Shenanigans Party" in New York, NY the night of WrestleMania XXIX because he heard there would be an open bar.

Bill Apter did an interview with Jake Roberts, who has completely turned his life around under Dallas Page's tutelage. Roberts said his goal is to enter and win next year's WWE Royal Rumble. If he's lucky and stays on track, there is a decent chance he could accomplish 50% of that goal.

Jim Cornette is returning from wherever he has been for a new podcast with Kenny Bolin starting in June. The show will be called "This Week in BS with JC and King B."

Ring of Honor's current matchmaker Nigel McGuinness was a recent guest on Kayfabe Radio, hosted by Alan Wojcik. When asked about his reaction to Charlie Haas and his surprise retirement announcement, he said "Well, I wasn?t there for the show, so I didn?t see it; all I heard is what people have told me about it after the fact. I could come out here and say things about Charlie, things I?ve felt for a long time, but I?m a bigger man than that. I could get drunk and go out there and make an ass out of myself but I?m an adult and I don?t do that. You know what I mean? If there?s ever a day when I need to talk to Charlie, I?ll talk to Charlie face-to-face and that?s the way I do business; I don?t air my dirty laundry in public. I could say a lot of things about him, his place in that company, his place in the business in general but I won?t do it because I?m a positive guy and I want to speak about the positives of Ring of Honor as opposed to the negatives."
