Chris Kuhn: B. M. F.

Chris Kuhn: B. M. F.

Posted: Apr 13th 2013 By: CMBurnham

It all seemed very mysterious several weeks ago when Chris Kuhn resigned as SWCW Commissioner and left abruptly. Now, it appears to have been part of a master plan.

Kuhn's abrupt departure led to some shake-ups in SWCW management and SWCW owner L. J. McDaniel brought in former SWCW Champion Havoc to fill Kuhn's position. But as everyone knows, things can get hectic pretty quickly and it wasn't long before Kuhn was back in the mix.

Kuhn was introduced as a special referee for the Tyson Jaymes/Rudy Edwards match at Hardcore Hallelujah 2013. He handled those duties well and the fans were appreciative to see the former commissioner back. Little did they know it wasn't the last they would see of him that night. The next match pitted Brock Landers against Kevin James Sanchez. This match came about because of some action during the Battle Royal at the opening of the show where Maniac Mike won the SWCW Hardcore Title. Sanchez and Landers faced off per orders of McDaniels, but at a key point, the referee was knocked out. Kuhn came running down the ramp to continue the action. Sanchez connected with the Ring Rat Kick, but then Rick Russo entered the ring. Without any concern whether Kuhn saw it or not, Russo used brass knucks on Sanchez, knocking him out. Landers covered and Kuhn made an unnecessarily fast 3-count. As the crowd stared on, Landers celebrated his victory with his stablemates. And the newest faction in SWCW was formed.

But they still lacked a name. And that would be dealt with after intermission as Kuhn, Russo, Landers & Mike came to the ring. Each man felt wronged for various reasons. Maniac Mike was SWCW Champion for 9 months before losing it to David Kyzer and never received a rematch. Rick Russo claimed he had the belt stolen from him by Jake O'Brien. Landers simply bragged about his victory. But the most intriguing person was Kuhn, who never really made it clear why he was upset, but did point out that his problem was with L. J. McDaniel. Kuhn also announced that the group was known as B. M. F. and by the end of the night they would have more gold than anyone else.

That promise proved true, but only temporarily. Russo DID beat Jake O'Brien for the SWCW Title in a No DQ match, but Maniac Mike was unable to keep the Hardcore Title, losing it back to Kareem Sadat. It seems safe to say that B. M. F. is just starting and L. J. McDaniel will have his ownerly hands full over the next few weeks and months.
