Back In The P.I.N.K.

Back In The P.I.N.K.

Posted: Apr 1st 2013 By: CMBurnham

One of the most memorable moments in SRPW history was also what many thought would be the last: Luc Lapointe betraying Dexter Hardaway and allowing The P.I.N.K. Nation to shut SRPW down.

For 7 years, that would be the legacy of the group that boasted membership including Beau Dalton, Bobby Dalton, Jack Legacy, Paul Linam, Lily McKenzie & current SRPW Champion Ray Martinez. Despite making appearances in ComPro & AACW, they never seemed to rise to the greatness they had before. And after 2007, it seemed their time was done.

But apparently, when SRPW was resurrected in 2011, a plan was in place between Martinez & Lapointe to bring the group back. It just took time and the correct individuals. And those all came together on March 23.

It started innocently enough. After Roberto Romero defeated En Fuego, two masked men attacked both competitors. They said nothing and left as quickly as they arrived. The same thing occurred after SRPW Tag Team Champion C. M. Chunk defeated Jose Suzuki. The same men jumped Chunk, although they left his tag team partner, Jake O'Brien, alone.

But the show was centred around a Triple Threat Hardcore Match where Martinez was convinced to put his title on the line against former champions Jake O'Brien and Sam Stackhouse. Martinez had been very reluctant to face either competitor, much less both. But after some serious peer pressure by both men, as well as SRPW Commissioner B-Arthur, Martinez agreed. Plenty of weapons were used and the carnage was unbelievable. But when it seemed that Stackhouse was on his way to victory, the two mystery men reappeared and attacked him. But only him. O'Brien & Arthur simply retreated. Then, after leaving Stackhouse in a heap, the men revealed themselves as Luc Lapointe & Tommy Toops. And Martinez proudly announced the newest lineup of SRPW's greatest faction.

It seems unlikely that Martinez has the same goal this time. More likely that they want to dominate and bring themselves back to relevance. But with firm control of the SRPW Title, it is unlikely that the P.I.N.K. Nation will be fading away any time soon.
