Impact, Inc. Stands Tall In Defeat

Is it possible to not earn a win in any match your group was involved with and still consider yourself the winners? Ask MSWA Mid-South Champion Johnny Z. On March 3, Impact, Inc. had their hands raised a total of ZERO times by the end of the night, but still stood triumphant as the show closed.
The afternoon started wonderfully for the group as Z, MSWA Mid-South Tag Team Champions Jermaine Johnson & Jordan Jacobs, Mark Wilson and MSWA Commissioner Erica assembled in the ring to gloat over their victories at February Fallout. Jermaine recapped their involvement in eliminating Nemesis from the federation and promised to make short work of The Syndicate. Then Johnny Z took the opportunity to run down Double D, which brought the former MSWA Champion to the ring. D wanted another opportunity to get his hands on Johnny Z, but Erica refused his request, instead setting up a match between D and Copycat. Z would make his presence felt during that match, pushing D from the top rope and allowing Copycat to connect with the Copycap for the win. A win for Copycat, but not for Impact, Inc.
Notably absent from the celebration at the beginning of the show was Kevin Morgan, who had lost his Last Man Standing Match against Bad Boy. Morgan was furious and issued a second challenge to Bad Boy, this time for a First Blood Match. Morgan proceeded to make an example out of his opponent Jason Kirby, going so far as to bust Kirby open and leave him in a bloody heap until Bad Boy came out with a chair to chase "The Image Of War? away. The referee threw the match out and Kirby was helped from the ring. Still, not a win for Impact, Inc.
Things went from bad to worse as The Syndicate challenged for the Tag Team titles. The Sanders were able to chase Mark Wilson away from ringside and, after a hard fought match, appeared to have won the titles. That celebration was short lived as Erica & Johnny Z came out and Erica announced that the wrong Impact, Inc. member had been pinned. She ordered the match to restart, but it didn?t last long as the rest of Impact, Inc. got involved and commenced a 5-on-2 beatdown of the Syndicate until Double D and Bad Boy came to assist. Earlier in the show, Bad Boy had announced a one-on-one match between himself and Johnny Z, but he was willing to forgo that if Impact, Inc. faced him and his teammates in an 8-Man Tag Team match. Z agreed and the match.
With tensions as high as they are between these two teams, it should be no surprise that things broke down and all 8 men were in the ring. Double D was able to connect with a High Cross Body and win the match, cementing three losses for Impact, Inc. Perhaps that was the breaking point as Impact, Inc. recouped and laid out all of the opposing team, then stood triumphant in the ring. The record books would show a record of 3 losses and 1 No-Contest for the faction that weekend, but you would never know that by the final image that afternoon as Impact, Inc. stood tall in the ring. How long this triumph will last is anyone?s guess.
